What lovely long legwarmers. I'm 5'8" and 138 and the ML is truly thigh-high (higher than in the photo by 3-4 inches) with the ends pulled down over my heels. They are just the right snugness and the elastic keeps them up. The fabric is light and smooth, yet truly warm. I washed in cold water, hand wash, and air-dried, with good results. The eye-catching design is so fun, kind of lends confidence to class! The patchwork is actually separate patches of knit fabric sewn together, not one single piece of knit fabric.
LOVE these leg warmers. Get tons of compliments on them. Have run them through the wash many times without issue. The other leg warmers I've gotten on this site have been the typical leg warmers found even back in the 80's used not only for dance but "style". These are softer, longer, more comfortable and more attractive. Wearing them makes me happy. I'm an old dancer so not as thin as I once was. At 5'6" and about 140 lbs the M-L do fit me. I was worried I'd be too thick. If I stretch them all the way they go from my ankles to the top of my thigh so someone taller - they will probably hit you mid-thigh and someone shorter and thinner should probably get the small. My daughter and nieces all want a pair so I've come back to get more for Christmas gifts (and another color for me!). They'd be really great coming out of a pair of boots as well. They are more expensive but if you can afford it I would suggest, yes splurge. These are so great.
How long are these legwarmers? Also, are they skinny just compared to the bell bottom ones or are th

The XS/S measures 29.5 inches from top to bottom and the M/L measures 31 inches from top to bottom. These are form fitting and will not slouch like other leg warmers. - DDS Customer Service (11/25/2014)
