I bought several pairs of character shoes to try on I ordered a five and a half same as my street shoe and I probably would have been more comfortable a half a size up but maybe not The toes were a little tight and it cut across the top of my foot but the heel fit well I have fairly high arches and I would not recommend this shoe if you have a high arch To me the quality of the Theatricals did not appear quite as good as the quality of the Capezios I ended up choosing the Capezio JR Footlight T strap
I bought these shoes for my 14 year old daughter who is very involved in musical theatre. She personally chose this style over the last shoes we purchased. She loves these and can't wait for her next show in September. She is wearing them for rehearsals until then!
I spent a good amount of time researching how these shoes would fit because half the reviews said they were too small, the other half said too big and the manufacture suggested street sized. I took a leap of faith and went with my street shoe and they were WAY too small. The toe tapers more than expected and thus, if the toe box was wider, street size may be correct. I will be reordering a full size larger now.
These character shoes look very nice! I especially like the way the t-strap makes the feet look, I only wish they came in wide sizes so it would be just a bit more comfortable. They probably would feel better on a narrower foot. Hopefully they'll stretch a little bit, but right now I'm thinking maybe I should wear an old pair just in case these new ones are too uncomfortable. Not sure what to do! Any advice?
Nice tan color and material doesn't look overly cheap. Fit is wider and, therefore, more comfortable than the comparable Capezio Jr. Footlight shoes. I have a wide foot and wear a 6.5 in street shoes. The 6.5 fit snug but feel like they'll break in. The size 7 fit too loose. I'd recommend these over the lower model of Theatricals, as the quality is noticeably better. These are definitely a budget shoe though and don't seem like they're built to last .
These shoes are great! The material is very durable and comfortable. It is easy to move in and looks great. However, the sizing runs very small!! I'm a 7 so i ordered a 7 (as instructed in the sizing tab) and it felt like i was trying to put my foot into a size 6 or size 5 shoe!!
How much padding is there in the ball of the foot area? I need help in that specific area so please be honest with me & I so appreciate it. Thank you!
This item features a cushioned lining through out the sole of the shoe and a man-made PU upper for softness and support. Unfortunately we cant guarantee comfort to specific spots on the foot. - DDS Customer Service (08/08/2019)
