These shoes run VERY VERY small. The sizing chart indicated to order the street size in women's shoes. My daughter wears a size 7. We ordered a 7 and it is extremely small. She can't even come close to squeezing her foot in. Very disappointed - not only do we have to pay shipping to have the size 7 shipped to us - we also have to pay return shipping to return the extremely small shoes - and ALSO pay shipping to order the newer bigger pair. Let's hope these fit. We are done with Discount Dance!
I bought these shoes for a Spring Recital and started practicing with them a few months prior. Based on a review, I ordered size 9. I wear 8 1/2 for a street shoe. The 9 fit perfectly and the shoes were instantly comfortable, no breaking in needed! I wasn’t aware that I was in a heel once I started dancing a broadway style jazz dance. I highly recommend!
I bought these for my dance recital and I expected them to run true to size, like it said in the description, but it did not. When I bought them I started rehearsing in them because I needed to practice. Immediately I started getting blisters and my feet were bleeding. I am a 9.5 in every shoe I wear and these in a 9.5 did not work for me. I recommend sizing a half size up if you want to be comfortable (even though heels are never that comfortable).
My entire experience with this website was excellent- the shoes came much sooner than I expected, the price was great, and the quality of the product truly impressed me (and that is hard to do). I have been looking forever for comfortable character shoes; these fit the bill perfectly! The sizing was true, the style is cute, and they are easy to dance and move in. I didn't give any stars to the durability because I have not had them long enough to determine that accurately yet. I hope that these will never be discontinued, as I plan on buying these shoes for years to come! Thank you for your commitment to excellence.
So I ordered a black pair 2 sizes up from my street size, and they fit perfectly! I used them for "European Folk Dancing class" (aka Character class). The heel edges don't give me any blisters, and the strap has many settings!! Favorite character shoe so far :)

So, one review says true to size and the other says order 2 sizes up. What's a mom to do?!
We suggest you follow the fitting guide on the product page. Adult sizes for this product are suggested to order the same as street shoe, while if you are a child size, you would need to increase the street shoe size by two to find the correct adult conversion.
