This is an update of an earlier review. This leotard is still very comfortable, but it keeps going up in price and quality has gone down. The material is thinner. There's also no longer a bra shelf, so these offer no support. For dance, I wear a Medium size in a higher-quality, more expensive leotard.
For everyday usage due to a medical condition, I wear these Theatrical leotards in lieu of underwear, so I used to go with a size Large. I also throw these leotards in the dryer, so they do shrink down to just the right size. I noticed with this new lot I bought, the sizing runs smaller. Instead of buying a large, which fits perfectly once shrunk down, I had to go up to an Extra Large. I am 5 feet, 5 inches and weight 124 pounds I don't think I will buy this brand any longer. The price goes up, but the quality is way down.
Due to a medical condition, I wear leotards as undergarments. This leotard is perfect. It is very comfortable and cool. It's a great basic leotard for yoga or exercise. I wear one size larger to allow for shrinkage, since I throw mine in the dryer. Plus a larger size feels more comfortable since I wear them all day long. For dance classes, I wear my usual size M which is true to size. The colors are pretty as well, and there's so many to choose from. I also like the cut, since it is more modest and I can wear a bra without it showing (except the straps). For a good, basic, inexpensive leotard, I recommend this one. It would also be a good leotard to build a Halloween or Cosplay outfit.
The low price is appealing, but this leotard was not good quality. It fits okay, but it is not at all flattering. It is also extremely thin and the support around the bust is practically nonexistent. I'd guess that it might be okay for a beginner dance, but for someone who would try to get lots of use out of this like an advanced dancer, it isn't what you want.
The low price is tempting for sure, but unless you only plan to get minimal use out of it, I wouldn't recommend it.
The only positives were that the color was really nice and it matched very well for the company that I had to purchase it for.
I've ordered a couple of these and I really like them. The neckline is higher than a lot of other leotards so it feels more modest to me. They are also quite generously sized. This is a big plus for me since a lot of "normal sized" leotards are a bit too tight for me and the "plus size" ones are too big.
The quality is a bit iffy. One arrived with a hole in the princess seam and if I stack them all on top of each other the sizes vary quite a lot. They all somehow fit nicely though. The fabric feels a bit thinner and cheaper than cotton leotards by other brands and I would not get this in a light color for fear of it being see though.
The right strap broke the first time my daughter wore it. I sewed it back on and the second time she wore it, the left strap broke. Very poorly constructed. The seams are bunchy and not smooth. It may be I got a piece with mistakes, but I would not order again. Not worth the trouble to return since it wasn't expensive.
