This camisole leotard is a timeless classwear basic to add to your collection. Features include a scoop front neckline, a trio of camisole straps that crisscross and cascade beautifully along the back, shelf lining, and a ballet cut leg line. Light Blue, Pink and White have a full front lining. See sizing tab for important fitting suggestions.
I absolutely love this leotard for the price. I think the only thing I didn’t care, for after I got it is a couple of the straps are constantly twisting, but that is absolutely not a fault of the leotard I just should of thought about that before I bought it. I bought royal and it is a very bright royal. I am 5’1” and 110 lbs. and bought a small and it fits great! I will say it is very skinny in the waist though, compared to my other leotards.
As a beginner to ballet I really liked the Theatricals brand since their leotards are comfortable, simple, and affordable. This design is great since I don't worry about straps falling off my shoulders.
Warning 1 - I ordered in a medium (5'2" and 115-120 lbs), and it fits perfectly in all places. However, the crossed straps are tight enough that the neckline doesn't appear quite like a boatneck as in the photos, but more like what you'd see wearing a halter top. Not a dealbreaker.
Warning 2 - I ordered the eggplant color, and I can only wash it by hand ALONE. For me, the dye comes out very dark when you put the leotard in water and could stain other clothes. Hung out to dry, it did stain my floor a little too.
Warning 3 - Since it's cotton, sweat will appear very easily, even with the shelf lining. Not an issue for me, but beware if you're self-conscious.
This leotard fitted beautifully on my 13 year old daughter when she first put on. However, whenever she raises her arms in the dance, the shoulder stripes will slide toward her neck, forming a big gap right in the middle of her chest. This leotard is part of her costume for winter showcase, so she cannot adjust the shoulder stripes in the middle of dances. My daughter has been dancing since 2, this has never happened to her other leotards.
I love this leotard! I originally ordered it in the color Garnet, size medium. It wasn't quite the bright red I was looking for, but that was my fault, it matched the pictures online very well. I'm now ordering it in white! The fit was perfect and the material was so comfortable. The torso is unusually long, which was exactly what I needed, but may not work for some dancers. Probably the most flattering leotard I've tried on. You should try it!
Bought this for my teenage dancer. By measurements she would be a small, but mediums seem be the better purchase.
All that said, we buy a lot of Theatrical brand leos. You can't beat the price, this one seems to be a little skimpy in the backside. She will wear with tights and a skirt mostly.
I ordered a small and I'm 115lbs and 5'2". It fits true to size and the fabric is soft but thick, so it feels really durable and comfortable on. The style is really flattering and there's no feeling like anything is going to fall off. It also hasn't ridden up on the back or anything uncomfortable like that. I got it in "garnet" and am so happy with it. Definitely recommend.
I love the design and the fabric. Mock neck and lattice on the back make adult dancer look presentable and stay cool.
However the crotch is very narrow (at least by an inch compared to my other leos), and feels/looks a bit odd without tights or skirt on top.
