Product tag indicates 100 percent nylon, so don't anticipate any stretch. In my case, the hip measurement was most important. The fabric is slick and a bit shiny, so the half inch elastic may slide down if you had to size up for hips or are wearing over another slick fabric. Might benefit from a drawstring. Definitely like the pockets. Ankle cuffs fairly loose, allowing movement without binding.
