This camisole leotard from Capezio's "Team Basics" collection features adjustable and removable straps, a low scoop back, and a ballet cut leg line. Adult sizes are shelf lined and nude is fully lined. Ideal for dance class or performances. Hand wash in cold water, hang dry.
I got this exact leotard back in 2014, and it's still going pretty strong, so decided to reorder in a Medium which is my actual Capezio size. I had ordered up the first time and it fit pretty good, the straps are adjustable but since it was a Large, it didn't give as much support for me to wear without a bra, which wasn't a deal breaker, so I didn't bother to return it.
This one is definitely a better fit, and I still love how I can crisscross the straps on days I'm feeling more fancy that a plain camisole leotard. Also, I actually prefer this nylon, lycra type fabric to the cotton ones, I can wear these longer during my dance day. Ugh, I just love Capezio leos!
My daughter needed a nude leotard for under costumes during Nutcracker. She is about 5 foot 8 inches and normally wears a ladies L or XL shirt. The XL leotard fit very well. The adjustable straps are nice to have, and didn't seem too long or too short. As a side note, we had an issue with shipping and customer service took care of the problem in an amazing way. I was SO thankful and impressed! I will always look at Discount Dance first for anything we need to order.
Was under the impression that there was a separate bra shelf in the leo, but found differently. Ordered the 'light suntan' color in the hopes that it would work well as a liner for competitions and recitals. The leo material is nice and thick and appears to be high quality, but we had to return to do the absence of a shelf bra. Ordered as per size guidelines and leo fit just right.
I got this leo in a one of the nude colors for my Nutcracker performances this past season, and loved every minute I was in it! I moved with me very well, and was stretchy enough to be comfy. It's very soft and lined in the front, which gives a 32A like me enough support even without a separate shelf bra. Within the two weekends I had it it got a little snagged, as if someone had put velcro on it and then pulled it off, but that's the only issue I've had. The straps have stayed on very well and haven't gone anywhere. Hoping to get this in more colors soon!
I absolutely love this leotard! I went searching for a black leotard for my summer intensive that had adjustable straps, because I can't STAND leotards without crossed straps in the back, and came across this one. I would most definitely recommend this leotard to anyone, whether they like adjustable straps or not. When I wear this in ballet class and rehearsal, I feel like I'm wearing a costume because of the cottony, stretchy material and the way it hugs my body. The neckline is also a very costume-y shape and I love that as well.
This is my uniform for ballet, and I really like it! my leotard is in red, but I also have one in royal blue! One think about these leotards are that when you adjust the straps I would recommend you sow them. My blue broke, so during that day I had to have a l pin to keep it in place. Also its a good thing to sow them because they like to come off easily when you're dancing. But very comfortable! :)
I love this leo! Very comfy and looks nice. I have never had problems with the straps. If you are looking for a nice leotard that is simple this is it! I still have this leotard and I have had it for 2 years!
It is not the most appealing leotard out there, but the material is great for a long sweaty class. Its not cotton cloth, so your sweat won't show through. It's not the prettiest leotard out there but it does the job if you don't want to spend a lot of money.
I got this leo in nude for my recital and it is a great leotard except for the straps. The little plastic hooks pop out every single time I put it on, so I will be cutting out the plastic hooks and sewing the straps in place instead. It's thicker than most nude leos, so it's sometimes awkward if I have to wear it under an equally thick leo, but it isn't as see-through as most nude leos are. All in all, a good buy, especially for under $20.
My daughter wore this one time to a hip hop dance class and the plastic slides on the straps broke - the very first time she wore it! I haven't been able to get it fixed and it hasn't been worn again. Not worth the small amount.
I got this leotard mainly because it was a cheap leo that didn't look completely hideous. I was wrong on both accounts. It is cheap.
The adjustable straps broke (the plastic parts) within 2 weeks and it is hideous.
The leg line came up very high yet the rest of it was baggy. Also, the material is horrible. The front is lined, sort of. It is a full lining that does nothing to help support me, not that I need that much support, (A cup) but still, there has to be some amount of coverage. The back of the leo was very sheer and it wasn't only where there are curves, it was everywhere.
DO NOT get this leotard please. It isn't worth the money, even if that is a measly 14 or so dollars, it's not worth it.
This leo's okay. I like the fabric, and I enjoy the removable straps, but it doesn't fit right. I am very tall and very skinny so I have issues finding properly sized leotards... I bought this in a large (my usual leo size) and I have to pull it up every minute because its sliding down my chest because the torso is too short! A good leo, but only for short people.
This Leotard is Pretty Bad. I Tried this Leotard on and I hated the feel, it makes you have an even smaller chest than you actually do. The straps have to be really tight for it to stay up and they hurt. I Wish I never got it. But overall, it's an OK leotard.
Well, I have this leotard in red and the color is really pretty. Very true red. However, it is very short in the torso and the adjustable straps need to be really tight to keep it up and it kind of hurts your shoulders. I always wear a medium in Capezio and I ordered a medium in this but the torso was not long enough. I kept it though and and wear it occasionally, but I constantly have to pull up at it. It was pretty cheap though and it comes in a lot of colors so that's why I gave it a 3. Also, I'm 5'8 and slender so maybe if you are shorter it will work better for you. Although, I never have problems with my other Capezio mediums being too short so I think it may be just the cut on this particular leotard.
I don't like this leotard at all! I'm 5'0 and it was too short on me! It is just too small and the material isn't stretchable enough. I do like how the straps can be moved, it was better when I wore it with crossed straps, but I still don't like it.
I bought this leo and was pretty disappointed after receiving it. ...
The fabric was not soft and the cut was very strange. It came up waaay too high on the bust. And instead of the straps going over my shoulders, it was almost on my neck ... weird!
Plus, the butt area didn't fit at all! I guess for the price, it was an OK buy, but let's put it this way: I am definitely not going to buy another!
I need a nude colored leotard to wear under costumes and in the changing rooms at recital time. I want something a bit supportive, and not see through. Is this going to be too thick? I assume since it is a normal leotard it wont be see-through. And is it at all supportive?
This leotard is fully lined, so it will not be see through. It should offer support, and since it is a nylon blend, it will not be thick. - DDS Customer Service (01/07/2014)
I would say it is supportive, but for me it would be a little thick to wear under costumes, although it definitely is not see through. - Rositameow (01/28/2014)
