The shoe is flat so not recommended for those with a high arch. The bottom does not cover much of the foot, and my foot kept slipping out of the shoe. Do not recommend for beginners.

It's a very good beginner shoe. Love that the lace tie is backed by an elastic closure! She seemed small or narrow. I will be making an exchange for my student.

This is my first time buying a pair of tap shoes and I am not pleased at all. After only wearing them twice the shoe ripped. The company gave me a refund, but come on. Shoes shouldn't rip like that. Please look elsewhere.

This is not a bad shoe for a beginning dancer. Intermediate and advanced tappers should choose a more durable, more flexible shoe.
These shoes run extremely narrow. Some of my students with medium-width feet find them tight. If your student has a high, thick instep, or a C width or wider, these shoes will not fit well.
The end of the shoe seems to curl up a little, making it difficult for some students to get a good tone in shuffles and flaps. I'd like the shoe better if the toe tap was either a little longer or situated differently on the toe of the shoe.
Bottom line: good for beginning little kids, not so good for adults, teens, adolescents or more serious students.

I wanted to try tap for my 30th birthday. I found these shoes, at a reasonable price and thought "hey if I dont like them, its only 20 bucks". My regular shoe size is 8-8.5, I saw that people said they run small so I ordered the 8.5 and they fit GREAT, super comfortable!

I'm returning these tap shoes as they are way too narrow!

This is my first pair of tap shoes and I did not want to spend a lot of money but I did want them to be pretty.
These did the trick! They seem comfortable enough and they are a cute mary jane style.
Not sure about how durable they will be as I just started wearing them.
I sized up and I am glad I did.

I use them for teaching basic tap to little ones. The quality and comfort are so-so, but you get what you pay for. I am not a serious tap dancer, so I was just happy to find an affordable pair of tap shoes that I can teach in. The taps sound nice.

The tap shoes did run small but I used them anyways. After a month of using them, they're still in great shape but I am having to buy a new pair anyways because they are much quieter than I needed and expected. I wish I would have spent the extra $10-$20 to get a pair with more solid taps.

We never tested the durability of these shoes, as they run very small. The local dance store that we ended up buying from sold a size bigger to get them to fit. The "fit" tab on the product is misleading, as it says to order your normal size. Learn from our experience and go bigger!
