Our studio requires a different brand that is way more expensive. I compared the color to the one our studio recommends and got these instead. They were less expensive and fit great. Would highly recommend.

We ordered these last year for our recital and fell in love with them. We generally dance on wood floors, so leather is better for us. I have been teaching and choreographing for years and have never had such praise for shoes from student,s adult and teens alike. Read the sizing. I wear a 6 and buy a L. Durability is not an answer I have yet, but the price is right to buy two, one for practice and one for performance.

One reviewer indicated that the shoe bunched up, and my daughter found this to be true. After a single month use, it bunched and hardened making the shoe very uncomfortable for my daughter to dance. Very disappointed.

Theatricals leather lyrical shoe

I originally ordered the Bodywrappers Twyla lyrical shoes for my daughter, but they were back-ordered. Since we needed them within a week and I paid for priority shipping, I called and replaced the order with these shoes. Customer service was awesome and the shoes shipped right away the next morning. Unfortunately, my daughter was disappointed with the shoes. She says they are itchy on the sole of her foot, and she's only worn them one time for a rehearsal and once on stage and the leather is peeling...? The elastics don't have a grip on the inside, so they slip as soon as she points her foot (I had to sew them to her tights for her performance). The shoes will work for the two performances she has left, but we won't order them again. We love the Bloch Eclipse...I only wish they made them in a darker tan to match the tights :(

Great discount shoe

With many of the theatricals brands, you can tell a difference in quality from the higher brands offered on DDS. Not so with this shoe! It is half the price of the others and the same quality! The shoe is a little short and wide, but the adjustable straps fix this well. Ordering them for students, as jazz shoes are expensive when feet are still growing rapidly!

I absolutely love this shoe! It is so much better than my half soles I have tried in the past. Having the adjustable strap really helps. Very happy with these!

one dance class, one time used and the tan color has pealed off the shoe exposing a yellowish color, they look as if they are years old.
i do not recommend you purchase these, our Block shoes last two years before looking old.

I was very excited to start using this shoe! Unfortunately I wish i had never bought them! They are way to tight near my toes. i have to wrap my toes so they don't start to bleed. They turn perfectly and last long but i got the correct size and they are very tight. If you do buy this shoe, get a bigger size than your normal dancewear shoe size.

As a rhythmic gymnast turned ballerina turned dance teacher, I am beyond disappointed in this shoe. I was SO excited ot find a TRUE rhythmic gymnastics slipper at a reasonable price (meaning, it didnt have an attached sole patch like the luzio, etc.). The package came very quickly, the suede sole and lined inside of the shoe looked very promising. Then I put it on, only to find the seem between layers seems magnetically drawn to where one's toenails are. There is a good inch of loose fabric at each side of the shoe- no matter what anyone says, this type of shoe should be elongated on one side to ensure a snug fit. The leather [portion of the shoe is literally a circle shape...who has a foot like that? SO SO SO VERY DISAPPOINTED.
