They look 2-3 sizes too small however my daughter was able to get her foot in because they have elastic which stretches quite a bit. She is wearing them but they probably would be better if they were just 1 size bigger than the size chart suggested. Even at 1 size bigger they would look too small OFF the foot. So don't let the appearance fool you!

SIZING WAY OFF
This is like a child size shoe. My daughter wears a 7 in ladies, I went a half size bigger thinking it runs a little small. It is a child size shoe even though is says adult. It is even way too small for my daughter who wears a 5.5 ladies.

GOOD QUALITY, RUNS SMALL
My daughter usually takes Ballet and Contemporary, but needed Jazz shoes for summer camp and potentially, fall classes, so I chose this shoe after reading reviews and comparing prices. After reading through reviews, I struggled with which size to get, but luckily, I chose correctly! My daughter wears a 1.5-2 in street shoe, and I ordered the Adult 5.5, which requires a bit of "oomph" to pull onto her foot, but then has the just right amount of "room to grow". She did say that the arch of the foot feels weird/bunched up, but she is able to adjust it, and I think it will stretch out as she breaks in the shoe. The shipping was amazingly fast- arrived 2 days after my order was placed.

GOOD SHOE BUT RUNS SMALL
This is a nice shoe that I use to teach in several days a week. Very comfortable and well built. When you put it on, you have to make sure it does not bunch up under the arch of your foot however. It also runs 2-3 sizes small as well. I wear and 8.5 street shoe and ended up ordering a 10.5 shoe in these for myself and one of my students order 3 sizes up before it fit properly.

These shoes run VERY small. Even when I follow the sizing chart, my dancers cannot fit their feet into their shoes. I often have to go up 3 or even 4 sizes to find a shoe that finally fits! This gets very frustrating because it sometimes takes months to finally get a dancer a pair of shoes that fits.
While this shoes does an incredible job of snugging to the foot, it also is difficult to get on, especially for my younger students.

RUNS EXTREMELY SMALL
Ordered the shoe one size larger than the street size. The shoe that was sent is about two sizes smaller than her street size. Going to make sure they didn't send a child's 5.0 when it should have been an adult.

JAZZ SHOES
The size chart is a bit off on these. My daughter wears a 2.5-3 in shoes and I got her a 5 which says it fits a 3.0 - 3.5 / 4.0 - 4.5. Her toe is right at the end pushing out. She says they feel ok so we kept them but I think a 5.5 would have fit her better which says it fits size 4.5 - 5.0 and she is a size 3. Maybe my daughter has bigger fit than some girls, they are a little wide.

I own a dance studio, and recently ordered these shoes in both the child and adult sizes for my students. My students love the feel of the shoes, but the sizing is extremely off. I followed the sizing chart, and went up an additional 1-2 sizes for each child before ordering, and the shoes barely fit. A 13.5 in children was the same size as a 4.5 in adult - the only difference was the size of the hole for the ankle to slip in to. I ordered a size 10 for my assistant who wears a size 8.5, and her foot barely even fit in the shoe. I am reordering a size 11.5, and am hopeful they will fit her better. Overall, these shoes are excellent quality, and when sized correctly, they fit nicely. However, I will probably go back to ordering the lace-up shoes as the sizing chart was more accurate, and the slip-on shoe did not fit snugly to children with smaller ankles.

TAN JAZZ SHOES
The shoes are cute and should work out well, but the sizes run incredibly small. We will have to return/exchange (and get stuck paying add'l shipping charges for the return and exchange) and buy a size shoe that is technically 3 sizes larger than my daughter's current size because they run so small. That was disappointing.

I like these!A friend at Kirov had these a few summers ago and we traded shoes because she hated hers and they fit me perfectly! Since then I always get these. They are so comfortable and they show off the foot well. the neoprene arch makes them fit glove tight.

COMFORTABLE AND AFFORDABLE
I bought these last year when my Bloch shoes were out of stock and they lasted a whole year before they started showing signs of wear. I wore them three days a week while I taught classes and they were amazingly comfortable and still supportive. I bought street size as recommended and they fit perfect.

COMFORTABLE, TRUE TO SIZE SHOE
These jazz shoes are very true to street size, extremely comfortable and lightweight. They would be a good performance shoe, but are very soft leather. They do not need to be broken in, but they wear through very easily. After two weekends of performance on a vinyl floor (they were for a musical) they were pretty much destroyed. By the end of opening weekend the leather at the toe had been worn through, by the second weekend so had the lining. They would not work well for class.

Mar 05/21/2014 Age: 25 to 34 If i'm street size 8 women's what size should I get?
Based on the size recommendation, I would suggest ordering a size 9.0. - DDS Customer Service (05/22/2014)
There are several reviews that complain about the inaccuracy of the sizing chart. Can you provide a definitive answer on the relationship between the sizes here and street shoe size (based on measurements, not the manufacturer's chart)?
We have had some issues with the sizing on this shoe for both child and adult. Please contact Customer Service at 1-800-470-1664 so that we can assist you in getting the correct size for this style. - DDS Customer Service (12/09/2013)
i was just wondering is this shoe good for a beginner doing 2 classes a week
That shoe is our house brand equivalent to the Bloch "Neoflex" (style #S0495L). It is economical in price and a good shoe for a beginner or slightly more advanced student. - DDS Customer Service (04/30/2013)
