I don't know why everyone is saying these shoes run so small. I order two sizes bigger than my street size because so many people were complaining and they ended up being huge. I should have ordered smaller than my street size, actually. They did feel very comfortable though, and I liked the feel of the neoprene under my arch. Unfortunately these are not available in the size and color I needed, so I had to try to order a different pair (that also failed). Ugh! ordering dance shoes online is so hard!!
I ordered these shoes 2 sizes bigger than my daughters street size ( and a half size larger than her current jazz shoes), and they are still at least 2 full sizes too small. It’s ridiculous. They should not sell these online if their sizing is going to be so off, as there’s no way to order the correct size.
I ordered these for my Christmas present (my mother will let me pick out items sometimes), got them within a few days, but they are TINY. Much smaller then the size 9 I picked out. Looked alright other then that, but very frustrating.
I really like these jazz shoes and would definitely order them again. There is a little flap or something on the inside of the shoe that felt kind of awkward at first, but after breaking into the shoes it flattened down and I do not feel it anymore. I shoe is true to size, I am a size 6 street shoe, and ordered a size six. It fit perfectly, and after breaking them in they are extremely comfortable and I love wearing them. They make your feet look fantastic. They are great for turning, especially after they are broken into. I can hit up to 4 clean pirouettes with them.
The only problem I've had is durability. After about a 2 months of usage there is a hole on the top and bottom of my left shoe (the one I turn with). However, it does not make the shoe any less comfortable, so if you do not care what they look like, there is no problem!
These shoes are way better than the other theatrical jazz shoes. Seem way more durable, however they do get dirty pretty quickly (tan). I bought tan and black for myself and my students. They seem to fit true to size or a half a size too small. I love the quality and the neoprene. works great for us
The shoes themselves are wonderful. They look nice, they stretch well for growing feet, and they match tights nicely.
Right now I have two problems with the shoe.
First is the sizing.
It is very hard to size these shoes because generally they run about a half size to a full size small BUT if a student has wide feet you need 2-3 full sizes bigger and if they have narrow feet you have to get the exact street shoe and stretch them if you don't want them with a lot of gaps.
Second is the availability.
It seems size 12C and 6A are very high in demand so the shoe was on backorder. We have been waiting a solid month and there is no update on these sizes. Waiting over a month for shoes is not really ideal especially when there is 'no guarantee' to when they will be in. An indefinite wait makes these shoes undesirable.
If they have these shoes in your size I would highly recommend them. If they do not have them in your size or if you are a Studio Owner/Teacher purchasing for your students and need a bunch of shoes...I would not recommend them unless you don't need them for a few months.

I'd normally wear a size 8.5. What size would you suggest in this jazz shoe - 89?
Our suggested fitting is Same as street. Street shoes that are half sizes, go up to next whole size. This information is shown as a guide only and not a guarantee.

I plan on ordering Jazz shoes for my students. I always wear the Bloch Adult Neo-flex Jazz shoe (which I love). When ordering them for myself, I know that I need to go a full size up in this particular shoe. Unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with the Theatricals Adult Ultimate Competition Leather Jazz shoe (that I would like for my dancers). So my question is about the sizing. If my regular street shoe size is a 6.5, (six and a half) what would work best for me in the Theatrical brand shoes? Thank you very much!
This shoe fits same as street shoe size. However, since they only run in whole sizes, order up the next half size. - DDS Customer Service (04/06/2016)
