My teen son wore these for his performances in Mulan Jr. Pro: they were comfortable. Con: they only lasted through the 6 performances of this show. Have to buy another pair for his next show. Shoes shouldn’t be this disposable.
We ordered these for our Jazz dance team. We have only had them a month and have had to replace 6 pairs all for the same reason. The heel suede keeps coming up. Very disappointing.
Ordered these for dance team this year. They fit all the girls comfortably! However, due to our heavy performance schedules from parades, to half times, they didn't last too long. The girls would have to glue the heel back on and some them started to bust around the seams.
It's great for low-performance route. Definitely not heavy duty. We will probably use the Sansha next year due to our schedule.
I bought these for 8 girls for a jazz performance. If you are on the edge about what size to order, size up! These are basic canvas booties. Think split-sole ballet shoes, in boot form, with a tiny heel. The toe area is a little hard initially so you have to break these in, but they're very comfortable to turn and jump in afterwards. The laces never untied themselves, which is awesome! They also show off your arch.
My daughter is a size 8.5 in street shoes. What size Theatrical over the ankle boot does she need?

Recommended sizing is 1 to 1.5 sizes larger than street shoe. That would be size 9.5 or 10 for someone wearing a women's 8.5. - DDS Customer Service (02/09/2021)
