My daughter is 44 inches tall and weighs 42 pounds, I first bought the small according to the size chart and it was small. Because your not able to return the item, I ordered the next size Medium and it fits. Hope this helps. Shipping was fast. As for the quality, they seem average just make sure you take off jewelry before putting on.

I am writing this review because of the negative reviews of this tight and thought we needed another positive one. I really like this tight. Some people say they run easy. My students have had pretty good luck with these. Just like any tight you need to be careful when you put them on so that you don't poke your fingers nails through them. I've had very few run right away. Most last all year. For the price of this tight I don't think it could be much better. My students love the feel of them.

We normally get more than one wear from our dance tights. These are very thin and had a "run" in them (also very rare to get runs in NEW tights). So, only wore them one time and had to throw them away. I would not call these dance tights. More like dance hoisery.

Ordered these tights with high expectations!! I went by the sizing chart, and it recommended the Child Large. Upon receiving the package, I found that the sizing was waaayy off. The picture shows the tights going to the bellybutton area, but I could not pull these up higher then my waist, and the crotch area was threatening to tear at mid thigh. I put my foot through and converted to legging style, but it was so tight I could not back in. I am 4"11 and weigh 90 pounds, so I should have fit these perfectly. I looked into the adult ones and according to the sizing chart, I shouldn't even fit them. However, I am going to order them and see how they fit. Although I am highly disappointed with the inaccuracy of the sizing chart, I have to say that the quality is great!! They are SUPER soft and comfy, and they feel very durable!! The color I chose (Prima Pink) is a beautiful pink, a tad peachier than ballet pink and therefore will show better on stage.

These tights are very comfortable: the waistband is not itchy unlike some other brands, and the tight material is very soft. However, the first time I wore these they immediately ripped. Before class even started, in fact, the tear went up all the way to my knee! Also, it runs very small, I carefully followed the size chart measurements and ordered a size large, but when the order arrived, they felt two sizes too small! Overall: comfy and a satisfactory price but with the cost of poor durability and small sizing.

This tight is not as same as that shown in the picture in the website. The picture in the website shows this tight does not include the foot, but actually it does. I bought this tight according to the size table but it is a little small for my daugther.

I read the reviews before purchasing these tights and noticed that many reviewers had negative comments about durability. I haven't experienced any problems with snags, pulls, etc., so that's a plus. I do think these run small and the color system is confusing... beware that the pink is really a nude color and the ballet pink (usually a more nudey color# actually looks pink in person #and the thumbnails do NOT reflect this#. I bought my daughter a few other items when I purchased these tights #leotard, tutu, etc.#. All were from the same brand and every item I bought was the color pink #not ballet pink). I didn't expect a 100% match, but the tights were the only thing that didn't even come close. Had to order ballet pink tights instead. I just think it's a little misleading that everything else your company makes that is called pink is actually pink, except for the tights, which are actually nude. Is it just a coincidence that tights aren't returnable? Hmmm.

I bought 2 pairs & both tore the 1st time she wore them.. She has danced for 6 years in tights, & never have we had this problem... Great price, but now know why...

The ability to wear it as a legging or a stocking (sort of) really makes this product stand out - my daughter loves it!

I bought these tights via recommendation from a dance mom friend. I ordered what I thought would be the size for my daughter according to her age. When I took them out of the package, they looked small; however, I figured they would stretch out to fit correctly when worn. My daughter had trouble pulling them up but said they were Ok after she put on her leotard. Either I ordered the wrong size or these tights run quite small for the size indicated. As far as how they hold up, there were several small snags in them after the first time my daughter wore them although this could be due to them being too small. Even though the price is great, these tights are just not for us.

My dd wore these for dress rehearsal and was unable to wear them on recital day due to a huge snag which ultimately resulted in a hole. It was an acro routine therefore she was on the floor alot. Perhaps if these were used for a regular dance (w/o floor tricks) they would've held up better.

My daughter put these tights on for the first time today, and a HUGE run appeared that started at the crotch and ran almost down to her knee. I guess you get what you pay for :(

This is the second time I've purchased these tights. I've bought them in caramel and in pink. The first pair tore within the second use and now the second pair did first day my daughter wore them. The pink i have not yet opened but they are not a true pink, more of a beige/pink. They are reasonably priced so I guess you get what you pay for in durability.

First..I LOVE this price. We JUST got them today - so I can't comment on durability. They are as soft and smooth as the Capezios that we usually buy (that are almost twice the price), so I'm pleased there. No complaints from my 6 year old about the fit or comfort. Only problem is that we ordered both pink and ballet pink - the "pink" is really more of a taupe...so BEWARE. We won't be able to use the "pink" because my kiddo goes to a ballet school that requires a uniform - and these unfortunately don't match...

I purchased 3 pairs recently. I have never purchased this brand before, but I couldn't pass up the great price! So far we are thrilled. My daughter said they are very comfortable and through her first several dance classes, they are holding up well. So far, I will definitely order these again! Cannot beat the price compared to those at the local dance stores. Didn't give them 5 stars for all because we haven't used long enough to know for sure, but so far so good.

I'm a dancer that dances over 12 hours a week and these are ok tights. If you ever wash these, either hand wash these, or wash in laundry bags with holes. These shred very easily, and the crotch gets bigger when washed. On the bright side, these have a good color, and look great if you are doing performance. And, just a suggestion, try getting maybe 3 or 4 of these at a time if you're a serious dancer, they're great for short term uses. If you look for ones that will last you at a minimum of six months, try Capezio ones, there are very durable and a great color also, they only cost a few dollar more.

This is a great tight especially for the price. Runs small though. My daughter is a small 10 year old and she wears the Large. She usually wears an 8 or 10 slim in children's clothes.

What are the sizes for the child convertible tights? Is small up to size 6 or is Medium size 6?

The sizing recommendation for these tights is determined by height and weight. 38"-48"/30-60lbs - small 44"-54"/40-85lbs - medium 54"-62"/55-95lbs - large We also offer this sizing in a graph form, which can be found underneath the main photo with the "Alternate Views".
