This advanced full sole ballet shoe is constructed of lightweight, super soft, durable leather. Features include a cotton lining, a cotton drawstring, a suede sock liner, and an attached elastic strap.
Note that the drawstring is cotton, not elastic, like most other ballet shoes. Therefore the shoes gap quite a bit when tied tight enough and don't form to the feet like other brands do. For a very young dancer, these ballet shoes might work. But use caution, as they aren't very flexible. I had to return these and buy the same brand we have bought in the past that have elastic drawstrings.
Per the recommendations listed, we ordered a size smaller than street shoe for my daughter. However, when we received them, they are actually too small. In our case, we would've been better with only half a size smaller or actual street shoe size.
What adult size do I need for my daughter if she just outgrew the 2.5 kids?

A size 1.5 is approximately 20.3 centimeters and this style runs one size large. Therefore, the best suggestion would be a size 13.5. Please note that we cannot guarantee the sizing. - DDS Customer Service (02/24/2014)

She wears a 3.5 in street shoes....what size should ghe ballet slippers be?? Hope to hear back ASAP....need to order these for Christmas?!?!?!
Please follow the suggested fitting on each item however since she is a 3.5 is chlidrens shoe you would first convert her to an adult 5.5 and then follow the suggested fitting - DDS Customer Service (12/13/2012)
