Uncomfortable
by: J - 11/06/2020
Comfort:
Durability:
Fit: True to size
Wouldn't recommend this shoe, next time I would spend more and buy something comfortable that bends better with my foot. The cord is not elastic and it made it difficult to get a good fit.

order a size or 2 small
by: purpleburton152 - 03/07/2020 - Longview,WA

These were way to big for my daughter. I am upset because I keep having to exchange shoes because the size guide is bad. If they could tell you the length of the shoe for the length of the foot. I have spent more in shipping than just buying these local and paying extra and having my daughter just try them on.

great shoe, great price

I saw the sizing chart and also called to get information on sizing. My daughter wears a size 4.5-5 shoe - we were told to get her a 2.5. It fit, but left no growing room for her foot at all. I didn't want to have to buy a new pair half way through the year so we returned it and purchased a size 3.5 - fits good, stays on her feet, and she has room to grow in them as well, so they should last her the whole dance year. The pink is a true ballet pink pink. Easy to tighten. She said they are comfortable to wear and we are happy with them.

Great ballet shoe
by: Anonymous - 06/07/2019 - Terre Haute,IN

Fit: Runs large
I buy these for my daughter. They run pretty big. They last pretty much all year and I like to get a new pair for recital. Her shoe was a little tight, so I went up to the next size thinking her foot could not have grown that much. I went from a 6 which fit snug to a 6.5 which was too big. It's pretty hard to determine the size. But other than that the shoe is perfect.

Gets the job done, but not pretty
by: Rachel - 06/30/2018

These shoes are adequate for barre. But they run large, as other reviewers have said, and the cotton drawstring (instead of an elastic string) means that they won't hug the shape of your foot consistently. The drawstring also needs regular tightening, which is not convenient during class. I was hoping the full sole would provide more resistance than a split sole, but it doesn't since the shoe is so loose. If you want a low price leather shoe, I recommend the Theatrical leather split sole with elastic drawstring, which fits like a glove.

Great for the Price

I purchase these shoes exclusively for my dance students, because they are a hardy shoe for the price. Where I teach is very dusty and the shoe is very durable. They last over a year in 2 hour a week ballet classes.
Only critique is that the elastic isn't sewn on super secure and sometimes pops off. But overall, great shoe for the price! the drawstrings are great for growing feet too.

Overall, it's a good product.

Unfortunately, I didn't do my homework when it came to reading the reviews. If I would've done my homework, I would've known that the sizes run bigger. :/ Pro = I get to use the shoes vs my daughter lol. Con - I have to purchase her another pair. Overall, I like the quality of the shoes and I would definitely recommend them to others. :)

Great deal!

Ordered 2 1/2 sizes smaller and they fit great! We are using the shoes for our production of JB. We needed black ballet slippers for our Gothic circus performers. Just what we needed and a great price!!! Also, I called ahead to make for sure about the sizes and received awesome help! This is my go-to place for my theatre/dance supplies.

Runs very large
by: Kimberly96 - 09/24/2014
Comfort:
Durability:
These came in were way too big for me and I did not like the look of them what-so-ever. I tried going to ballet in them once and ended up having to take them off after barre work because it was impossible to tondu in them without the loose part sticking to the floor. It was awkward to point my toes especially in an arabesque because they couldn't stay in one position. If you want these shoes, really make sure you're getting the right size because they do run big. Returning these shoes.

Nice shoe, READ SIZING INFO BEFORE BUYING
by: Niccole - 08/06/2014
Comfort:
Durability:
This is a wonderful and simple ballet shoe. I read the sizing info before purchasing. My 12 year old wears a size 8 in womens and I ordered her 2.5 sizes down to a size 5.5. I wish I would have ordered a 5 because they're a little big, but I guess that's good growing room. I would recommend if your child has narrow feet, order 3 sizes down and if they have wide feet order 2.5 sizes down.

Great buy for this adult beginner!
by: Mitt3ns - 04/01/2014
Comfort:
Durability:
I decided (at 35) to start an adult beginner class, and needed shoes. Obviously I wanted something economical so after looking through the options, I chose these. I find them to be very good quality for the price... I am an 8.5/9 and the 6.5 fits me great, perhaps a touch narrow for my wide feet, but for the cost I will NOT complain. Very pleased with my purchase.

Great slippers
by: Danseuse19 - 01/18/2014
Comfort:
Durability:
These fit very well. I used someone else's review to help me figure out the size. I normally wear an 8.5-9 (like the person below) and ordered a 6.5 W. I'm very pleased with how they fit because I do have a very wide metatarsal area but a normal heel. They really work my feet in class and are very durable. When you are on demi-pointe they do gap at the sides but that is common with leather slippers. Tightening the drawstring helps make it less gap-y. Do not cut the drawstrings because you will have to tighten them every so often!!!
These are very good ballet slippers.

I used the suggestion of ordering 2 to 21/2 size smaller and that worked perfect. These are very comfortable and fit well. I will go back and order these again if I need to.

Look great, but run large
by: Mid30beginner - 06/02/2013
Comfort:
I'm very satisfied with my order, but thought I would add a review to help others guessing on shoe size. I normally wear a 8.5 shoe and occasionally a size 9. I have narrow feet, but wear an insert in my shoe for back problems. I ordered a 6.5 M to make sure the insert would fit. The shoe is very wide on me, but is probably needed because of the insert. In terms of length, it is very snug, but I guess my feet won't be growing any more, so I think it will work.

Good for an Economy Ballet Slipper
by: SeattleDanceTeacher - 05/24/2013
Comfort:
Durability:
The sizing chart is spot on! I ordered a 2.0 (size 4.0 street shoe) & they fit great! The only thing I don't like is the string is not elastic so it is harder to adjust to the right fit, but, hey for the price, they are a great backup slipper (or beginning ballet slipper if you do not want to invest a lot right away).

First Pair
by: SadieParker - 12/14/2012
Comfort:
This is the first pair of ballet shoes I have ever bought. I just started a beginners for adults class. I usually wear a size 6.5 - 7.5 (depending on the brand) and I got these in a size 4. They are snug and comfortable. I've only had them a week so I can't comment on durability...but they seem excellent to me!
