The "Amalgam" shoe is a transition design concept that fuses dance sneakers and jazz shoes together, providing ultimate flexibility, comfort and appeal. The design molds exceptionally well onto the foot and exaggerates the arch profile creating an elegant fit. Ultra lightweight, feminine form, Dri-Lex lining that is non-wrinkling, breathable and odor/mildew resistant. Ultra flexible design construction providing freedom to move for the feet through all positions. Features on-marking thin split-sole and intelligent flat lacing system.

    Are these padded?

    What is the padding like, especially in the forefoot?

    This item does not come with any padding on the inside of shoe. There is padding on the bottom of shoe. Please visit Blochworld.com to see more pictures for this item.

    I find it to be adequate but not particularly "squishy" or luxurious. More than a straight jazz shoe, but less padding on the ball of the foot than a jazz sneaker. In many ways, I think this is exactly as described, a "transition shoe" between those two styles. - Tapteacher (08/22/2013)
