I dance Argentine Tango and I've been searching for a good in which to practice and change into in the wee hours of the morning when my feet are tired from heels. These shoes feel decent but there is a large gap on both the inside and outside, right next to the ankle, on both shoes. This gap looks even worse when I put weight on the show, it literally gaps open. I have to return them and pay all that shipping for something that is a terrible fit. They are also sized very small. I had to order 1.5 sizes larger, which fit in the length.
It's easy to find dance sneakers that are comfortable but not so easy to find ones that don't look like clown shoes or those street sneakers that supposedly make your butt look better. These Bloch dance sneakers are sleek and flexible, and it is so easy to turn in these. I like that the sneakers show off when you point your toes.
The lining inside is very plush and soft - almost like slipping on fuzzy slippers. I wear 8.5 street shoes, 7.5 salsa heels, and I ordered this in a 9.5. It feels just slightly cramped - not tight or uncomfortable - and I think it's because of the way the soles are attached. I would not order it any larger as I think the soft leather will stretch a bit.
Overall - I highly recommend this shoe for salsa dancers who want to take a night off from their heels!
Love this dance sneaker! I have worn out my second pair. Yes, I do a LOT of dancing! They are so comfortable and soft. I do recommend going up 2 sizes when ordering. I wear an 8 but ordered a 10. You might do just as well up 1.5 sizes but with hours and hours of wear my toes feel more comfortable! Hope this information helps!
