This jazz shoe is an economy leather split-sole and a great entry level jazz shoe. The sole is made of rubber, and pebbled for traction. Also includes a full cotton lining and sueded insole.

I have tried many in the past, and always come back to this one. I have an especially hard time with the slip on ones -- when I dance, they "slip off". Other brands seem to be of less quality. These break in well, and last me for about 2 years -- 6 classes a week and 2 shows, plus I teach. A good value at any level.
I like bloch and have used their jazz shoes for years. While the 8 fits, for that more snug jazz shoe feeling I could have probably gotten a 1/2 smaller.
I ordered these in a size 8 (I'm a 7.5-8 in street sizes) and they're great! I wear thin no-show socks or tights when I wear them and they fit like a dream. I wear these for blues dancing primarily and they allow me the maximum amount of flexibility without compromising on comfort.
Comparing prices, I found 2 different websites with different size charts for S0405L Jazzsoft. Your chart says women should order street shoe size. Another site says order one size up. The Bloch website says order one size up. Have your sizes already been adjusted to match the Bloch size chart? Just want to make sure I am ordering the correct size.
Sizing charts and guidelines are provided by the manufacturer and by customer feedback. The information shown on the size chart a guide only and not a guarantee. Actual fitting may vary. - DDS Customer Service (04/27/2018)
