my daughter is a size 5 street shoe and per all the reviews, I ordered a 6.5 which was still too small. I'm going to order a size 7.5 and hope that is the perfect size! crossing fingers.

High Quality & Comfortable, Runs Small!
by: Rhythm Reviewer - 10/21/2017 - Thousand Oaks,CA

Durability:
Fit: Runs small
Always trusting in the Bloch brand, I placed this shoe on my studio's Dress Code List as an option for students taking Basic, Beg/Int. and Int. level tap classes. The students and parents alike loved the look, durability and price of this shoe. Students immediately remarked on the comfort of the soft and relatively plush inside lining as well as how the shoe melded to their feet within just a few classes. Additionally, they all loved the tone and full sound created by the metal taps. Parents of growing students (ages 10-13) were happy with the supple leather that allowed them to wear the same shoe as their feet grew up to a full size larger.
Overall, the Bloch "Audeo" Tap Shoes are a great, high quality and affordable option - especially for dancers with some tap training. The one major issue with this shoe is the sizing. problem I found early on, however, was finding the correct sizing. This shoe runs small. My first student to order these shoes ended up trying 3 more sizes and widths before finding the size that fit correctly. Every pair of these shoes ordered by my students ended up being one full size to 1-1/2 sizes larger than their street shoe size and contrary to the "suggested fitting."

This shoe gives me great stability -- I'm starting tap again after many years hiatus and a foot surgery. This shoe is super comfortable, very stable, and my kitten is scared of it -- oh well, he'll learn it's ok to tap. Runs a bit tight. I'm a 7.5 in slip on Bloch Jazz shoes, an 8.5 here.

Very nice intermediate shoe

Once your child has moved on from the entry level tap shoe and maybe is more serious about tap, this is a great shoe to invest in. It has a mid-tone sound and its durability will outlast your child's growing foot. From here, you can move on to the "Respect" by Bloch, which is the prima donna of tap for the student who has slowed down a bit in their growing and will wear one size more than one school year. Bloch is Best!

I like these tap shoes VERY MUCH - BUT, I read the reviews that they run small so I ordered a 1/2 size larger than I wear - still way to small and I have to return them. Can hardly wait for a larger size to arrive.

N sound in heel
by: Tappity - 03/13/2014

I thought this shoe would be much better. Instead I was disappointed. I am a beginner and wanted to start my lessons off right--with a professional shoe from Bloch, a company considered to be a leader in dance shoes. Unfortunately, the heel makes NO noise (!) I saw another girl in my class wearing the same shoe, and I casually asked her what she thought of them. She told me she was sorry she chose them because they are not loud at all. I agreed with her and told her I had the same ones. There is also a bit of discomfort in my left toe. Unfortunately, I think their shoes are unreturnable here, which makes no sense because how do you know if they are good if you can't try them out? Disappointed!

Great tap shoe but runs small
by: TD49 - 09/11/2013
Comfort:
Durability:
These definitely run small I had to go up 1.5 sizes to get the right fit (I wear these with light socks). The shoes require no break in as the leather is good quality and very soft. The velvety lining is very cushioning and makes the shoes feel great on your feet. The taps and non-slip pad are placed well so that the shoe is balanced and stable. I love the strong, clear sound the taps make I can actually hear myself over the other dancers in the class which is awesome.
My one teeny complaint is that the tongue slides off to the side while dancing. They could improve this shoe by adding some kind of loop on the top of the tongue to thread your shoelaces through. That would prevent it from moving.

These tap shoes are extremely comfortable and I enjoy wearing them. I have never had a problem with tap/screw flying out either. The only problem is when I bought them I went with the bigger size because the smaller size was way too tight. Because of that, it is very difficult to do quick toe stands and sometimes wings.

Great sound & great comfort!

If you love tap shoes that are extremely comfortable and have great sound then this is the shoe for you! Great price too. I'll definitely order them again when I need a new pair. The sizing guide didn't work for me. I wear a street shoe size of 6 and had to go with a size 7 in this shoe.

I have these shoes and I really like them. They are very comfortable and durable as well as nice looking. The only thing is that it says here sizing is 1/2 size smaller when it should say 1/2 size bigger.
