Bloch's "Dansoft" is an ideal student ballet shoe with the elastic already attached and a full suede sole. It has a strong but flexible leather upper and a cotton lining. See sizing tab for important fitting suggestions.
I ordered these in black first as I wear black tights in winter and I like a clean line, also floor I teach on is not great as it is used for other types of dance. I received them and I really like the leather and the full sole ( have been wearing a split sole) as it does show the point. I ordered them in pink as my pink slippers were wearing out quickly...I am thinking these will be more durable.
These slippers seem to be good quality. My 2 year old daughter wears size 5.5-6 in shoes, so I ordered a size 6.5B in the ballet slippers hoping that would leave some room to grow. They barely fit with no room to grow. They are going to work for now but probably not very long before she grows out of them. They are adorable slippers but I would recommend ordering them in a full size up from the child's shoe size, if you want a little room to grow.
I got these for my 3 year old daughter she just started ballet the material is great like with most bloch items but they do run small my daughter is currently wearing a size 6 in shoes and I ordered her a 6.5 and they were still to small I had to end up ordering a complete size up! When the 2nd pair came in they fit her perfect and she loves them! If u get the correct size they r a great purchase!
My toddler wears a size ten shoe. What size ballet slipper should I get. I know he's about to transition into child sizes and will be a 4 or 4 1/2 pretty soon, but this seems like more complex sizing.
I would go a full size up. My daughter is wearing shoes in size 5.5-6. She is in between those sizes but getting closer to size 6. I ordered her first pair of ballet slippers in a size 6.5B, in case the slippers ran small and hoping to give her a little room to grow. They barely fit. I wish I would have gotten a size 7. I think they would have fit much better. She is going to wear them for now, but I think she will probably grow out of them within the next month or so. Go bigger, especially if he is on the verge of going up to the next size. - Littledancer (06/25/2014)
