The innovative "EuroStretch" pointe shoes from Bloch feature the latest in stretch materials to allow proper articulation of the foot. Ballet pointe shoes feature unique stretch satin, a split sole for maximum stretch at the arch, a firmer "A Paste" pasting method to allow for a greater resistance to heat and humidity, a high and wide platform for better weight distribution, a low profile with an elastic drawstring, a leather grip heel, and a cotton insert for easier ribbon and elastic stitching. To properly protect the feet from injury, the dancer must be professionally fit for the Eurostretch Stretch Pointe Shoes. See sizing tab for important fitting suggestions.
These are the only shoes that allowed me to get up and over my box! My feet are strong, and have average flexibility. The shoes are pretty hard when you first get them, but are super easy to manipulate and break in fast. I was able to bend the shoe where I wanted, and I was finally on my box, it was amazing. I would recommend these shoes to dancers with less flexible feet or weaker feet. If you have strong and flexible feet, they will break down very fast. The vamp is also fairly long, so I wouldn't recommend for short toes. While they do have the leather-suede heel, it still slips off my heels, especially with tights. These shoes have a very wide platform, which makes it easy to balance. The stretchy satin makes the shoes look AMAZING and smooth on flat, demi, and full pointe. I love these shoes!!!!
This is my daughter's first pair of point shoes and she loves it. It has lasted for more than a year with her beginner point class which is once a week for an hour. Although the fabric on the toes is teared, the shank and box are still going strong.
This shoe is very flattering - particularly nice for low profile feet. The stretch has the shoe hug the foot nicely with no bagging. The shoe breaks in quickly. Working with the shoe on flat can be an adjustment with the construction of the shank. Dancer would be wise to focus on proper pointe technique to avoid the shoe 'doing the work.'
After have gone through so many shoes, including the Balance European, I finally found the shoe that works perfect for me. The stretch is wonderful and hugs my entire foot making a beautiful line but not causing any pain from tightness because it moves with you. No big toe pain, nice platform to balance, and so far I’m going on month 3 with the same pair but will have to be replacing them soon. Highly recommended!
I LOVE these point'e shoes. They might look weird because they are half soles but they feel the same and almost better. I recommend these to dancers who can get on their box easily. I don't recommend these for your first pair though. They are meant for more advanced ballet dancers. Don't get these if you can't get on your box easily because you might just curl your toes. Other than that I again LOVE these point'e shoes.
