These best selling pointe shoes by Bloch are ideal for the ballet dancer looking to strengthen and build her foot. Lightweight pointe shoes feature a comfortable shape with internal contact points, a curved last, and a supple insole design. Provides the ultimate support with flexibility!
I got these shoes to wear to an audition because my regular pointe shoes were on backorder and my audition was in a week. They were good enough I guess. However, my foot is in between Bloch sizes, the 4 is too big but the 3.5 is too small. However, they will be good enough until I get my regular shoe!
Agree with the first reviewer -- I'm an adult beginner and got fitted in person at a local store with this shoe which worked out really well. However, I just ordered a pair online here (5.5 xxx) and the box is noticeably bigger. I know Blochs are boxy, but I compared these with an old pair which had already flattened out a bit and the old pair was still smaller and more petite. Will have to return these and maybe go back to the local store.
After much searching with a variety of manufacturers, we discovered the Bloch Hannah shoe that worked with my daughter's flatter foot shape so that she could "get over" the shoes and not "sink". We ordered 2 pairs of the shoes at once, and discovered to our dismay after wearing them that one of the pairs fit slightly different with a slightly longer toe box and my daughter could not get over that pair. We remained very pleased with the pair that fit the same as our original pair and therefore ordered 2 more pairs. Unfortunately, we ran into the same issue again with one pair not fitting as well--forcing us to return that pair. Our conclusion is that there is enough inconsistency of fit for this style that we will have to continue searching for a better choice for my daughter and cannot reliably purchase this style on-line. A dancer with a different foot shape may not notice this subtle difference and when they fit my daughter correctly, they are a really good shoe.
