Both of my dancers love the feel of the RP elastic. It's soft yet supportive. I wish DDS would carry this in bulk form. So much nicer for me to have a whole roll than to buy the small packages when both dancers like to have crisscross elastic on their pointe shoes. One of my dancers wears RP, the other Bloch.
The ribbon is good and stretchy, its just very thin. I should have checked the size before ordering, 0.75 inch wide very thin, so if you don't like thin elastic do not buy. Its the cheapest elastics I could find, so that's why I bought it. You get what you pay for.
Absolutly amazing elastic! I love that it doesn't run or rip. I have used this ribbon with Russian Pointe, Gaynor Minden, Nickolay, and Freed pointe shoes. It's the PERFECT color to match any shoes. 10/10 reccomend this elastic!
I have been searching for the correct colour of elastics for some time. My dream is for my tights, shoes, ribbons and elastics to all blend together seamlessly. So far the Freed ribbons and GM TLC ribbons both match most pancaked shoes fabulously. But the freed elastics are a garish peach, much stronger than even the peachiest of Freed pointe shoes. They however are perfectly wonderful when it comes to stretch and durability. While the RP elastics are deliciously light coloured to match ballerina tights of the palest prettiest variety, the stretch is the demeaning factor with this product. The weave is slightly too loose, so be prepared for muchos frayage, and sew them tighter than normal it you wish for your heels to stay in your shoes on stage.
