I've been wearing these shoes for about 5 years now, and every time I've tried another shoe I've always come back to these. They hug your arch and are very supportive. Not to mention I love the color of the satin, and the no drawstrings. Love these pointe shoes!

BEAUTIFUL SHOE
My daughter tried a few other shoes before this style and won't even consider another shoe now. They are a great fit and look beautiful when she dances.

BEST POINTE SHOES I'VE TRIED!
I had struggled with pointe for years because I couldn't find the right shoes for my feet and ankles. These made me cry with joy when I first wore them because for the first time I could comfortably get over my box. I have flexible flat arches, and so these were incredibly helpful in a Flexible Soft shank. I also love that the wings aren't very high, because I developed a bunion after dancing in improper pointe shoes for 2-3 years. The vamp is also low enough that it helps with getting over the box and bunion problems as well. So glad the fitter I saw suggested these!

PERFECT SHOES!
I am so in love with these. I have tried many, many different kinds of pointe shoes in the past. Some have worked okay, some haven't worked at all. When I first tried the Rubins, I was amazed. Not only do they feel supportive and comfortable (at least as comfortable as pointe ever is), they really hug my arch, and make my mediocre feet look pretty.
They also last so long, which is a relief. I wore European Balances for ages, but they died so quickly, during my summer intensive, I went through a pair every two weeks. For the Rubins, they lasted so much longer, and once they started to feel a little too soft, I jet glued them, and they lasted much longer still.
I have problematic feet. They're very wide at the metatarsal area, but I have a somewhat narrow/shallow heel, and a low arch. The Rubins allow me to get over the box properly (and not go too far over), so I can really focus on my pointe work.
I do find the heels a bit too big, they tend to slip off in the back, but I use GM heel grippers, which fix the problem perfectly.

THE PERFECT FIT
When I began doing pointe almost 20 years I ago, I was fitted for Capezio's Nicolini. I left ballet and on my return last year, discovered Capezio discontinued Nicolinis. I went to a dance store whose associates are trained in Russian Pointe fittings. They took one look at my feet - narrow heels, high arches and "Egyptian" toes - and handed me the Russian Pointe Rubins. I was able to roll through to pointe and perfectly balance with no problems -ie no rolling over, sinking, etc. They are comfortable as far as pointe shoes are concerned, broke in relatively easy and only after two months of once a week, hour-long adult classes am I considering buying a fresh pair. They run true to size but I plan to buy a size larger because I've started wearing gel big toe bunion pads in addition to my bunhead ouch pouches for added comfort.

OK....
(i used to have capezio aria pointes for a while) I've had these pointe shoes for about a month and a week or so. They last forever!!!! In contrast, they are a white color that can only match russian pointe tights (the ones i am ordering right now). This is annoying because you have to go out and but new tights to match the white color just for the recital. At the beginning, they didnt really fit that well (US size 9.5-10) and I got a size 40. But, they kinda stretched. When I was sewing, the saitin like ripped up and it got fuzzy :|. I had to resew the elastic several times. And on top of that, they are impossible to break in the demi pointe even after bending and smashing and stepping on them. No wonder my teacher frowns upon russian pointe shoes! Overall, these shoes were a true dissapointment.

Rachel 11/05/2015 Winchester, Ca, Usa Age: 18 to 24 sizing in comparison to Brava model?
Hello, I wear a 37 w2 v1 in Russian bravas. How does the sizing compare with the Rubin? Would I most likely still be a 37?
The sizing of the shoe would be similar as it is the same brand shoe. Be sure to read about the differences between the styles. See if you think that the different cut and design would flatter your foot structure. - DDS Customer Service (11/09/2015)
