I bought this leotard about six months and I got dissapointed after a couples times wearing it.
I dont like the way it looks, it accentuates the bust a lot! Not very appropiate for ballet in my opinion.
Also the halter straps are not very comfortable, they hurt my neck.
Pretty design, but wasn't particularly flattering on. I'm 5'5'' and 120 lbs and the medium's straps were too long and made the leo uncomfortably low cut. Doesn't look good worn with a sports bra, but I have no choice. Sizing down isn't an option for me because the halter strap hurt my neck... it's too tight and too loose at the same time :/
I got this leotard to wear for rehearsals. I don't really like wearing it for jazz, contemporary, or my Russian piece for Nutcracker, because it gets low and I have to pull it up in the middle of the combo. For ballet rehearsals it works well. I get tons of compliments every time I wear it on the color (I got the green) and on how good it looks on me.
I got this mainly for the color. The color in real life (eggplant) is waaaaaay off from the site's color! I know every screen's different, but all the other items i've gotten from DDS have been pretty right on color-wise. I think it's their photo-editing and color swatch choice that is off for the eggplant.
I was expecting a bright, normal purple. What I got instead is a dark, almost brown/maroon-kind of a purple. I don't like it at all.
The fit is good, but is on the small side. I'm a medium in all measurements, but a large in girth. I bought both medium and large. med fits, but is quite tight. The large is much better, but still snug. Usually a large is a tad loose in the chest (O have a small chest), but this one was snug allover (supportive in the chest). I'd recommend sizing up no matter what, especially if you have a larger chest
fyi, the neckline is a bit low, and the leg line is low as well (almost straight across...not quite...)
I really wanted to like this leo. The purple is really pretty and it is very comfortable. That being said. I cannot wear it. I am a C pushing D cup and even though some of the reviews said a fuller cup size would work. It didnt for me. The cup size for this leo is probably an A, which I am not. So i had to return it
I would recommend this to a friend with a small cup size
This is probably the best leotard I have ever gotten. Not only is the design both gorgeous and flattering, but the leotard itself is extremely comfortable! The top is very supportive and I find that halter straps usually prevent the leo from sliding down when you bend back compared to camis or tanks. My one complaint is that the neck strap could be just a tiny bit tighter, but it isn't a huge issue. The fact that it is made out of the nylon/spandex blend also makes it last a lot longer than a cotton leotard. If you usually have problems with leg holes, this leotard also covers up that area really well.
Overall I think body wrappers is just a good brand in general and I will definitely be ordering all the other colors of this leotard.
How to select "eggplant"? keeps defaulting to "olive"!
by: DebC (09/25/2013 - Tx)
So, when I try to select eggplant, it shows up as olive in my cart. I've tried this numerous times, and I've added every color for this leo, but I can't get the eggplant one to show up! everything else is correct, except that eggplant and olive both show up as olive in the cart.
DDS, please fix the glitch so i can order! thanks!

It's probably sold out in that color and size. - Emms1546 (12/05/2013)
After looking at the sizing chart, I've realized I am almost exactly between a small and a medium. I have a 33 inch bust (A cup), 56 inch girth, 27 inch waist, 34 inch hips, and am 5'4.5. I weigh 111 lbs. Usually I seize up to keep it comfortable (I don't like too tight leos), but I read a comment about the straps being a tad too loose and I don't want to risk the top being too large, especially since I have a smaller bust. So, small or medium?
You may want to bump up to the medium - better to be a little large then too snug. - DDS Customer Service (09/12/2013)
I would get the medium since the leo is on the smaller side overall. And if the halter strap is a tad long, you can always sew it up a bit. In fact, that might be a good thing since the leo's neckline is low. I have very close measurements as you, but but even the large was snug all over. I am the same height, but have a longish torso (62"), so that might explain the snugness. - Debc (10/23/2013)
