My friend and I got matching ones. And they look amazing. One of my favorites to wear. And I like high neck leotards with low backs. So it works out great. I got it in eggplant and since I loved it so much. I'm getting it in black when auditions role around.
I am absolutely in love with this leotard! It is my new favorite and my "confidence" leo. I have received plenty of compliments on it and I feel great and professional in it however after about a month the plastic part that connects the leo together snapped and now I can't wear it unless I buy a new one or try to replace where it joins... :( hopefully I can fix it in time before my auditions so I don't have to spend another $30 on the same leotard.
Honestly, this leotard should be recalled and all hooks replaced. While it is gorgeous on, the plastic hook on the back of the neck is very thin and flimsy. It snapped apart after just a couple uses. I am very unhappy. This was not a cheap leotard.
I purchased this leotard a few months ago in eggplant in the size XS. The color was gorgeous and the style is so unique and sweet. The first day I wore it to class, everybody was obsessed with my leo and I got endless compliments. As for sizing, I felt the sides of my chest to be very uncomfortable regardless of my "physique". I would definitely not recommend this to anybody with a voluptuous figure because I kept feeling like I was going to flash someone. I also felt like I was being strangled the entire class. I felt that these two things were definitely worth it because the leotard was so flattering on me. The thing that cut it for me was that after one wear, the trim on top that held the mesh insert came undone, all the way to the back of the leo. I can't return it so I've decided to sew it up and just live with it.
A very flattering piece, wish it was more well made, especially for the pricing.
There's no denying that this leotard is beautiful. It's flattering in just about every way. The size definitely runs small, something that was not noted at the time I made my purchase. As another reviewer also mentioned, the plastic closure on my leo broke the second time I put it on, before I could even wear it to class! Aside from the closure the rest of the leo seems very well made, however, the straps around the neckline are very uncomfortable, digging down into my collarbone and neck the whole time I have it on. Looking at it closely, I would expect this to be a problem regardless of what size you wear. Minor fit issues I can deal with, but a leo with these sort of construction and design flaws is a waste of money. I can't return it, and I'm mightily disappointed overall.
I just received this leotard today and immediately wanted to try it on. At first I thought that the size was fine but then I began to notice that it was a bit small in some areas. I probably should have done what Discount dance suggested and gone a size up. Oops.... So I would recommend ordering up a size as well. I am about to return this one for the next size up ( I originally ordered a large). The color and style was GORGEOUS. The neck area was a bit tight but I think it is just something that you have to get used to. I also think that it would stretch out some with wear. Have a great day!
Let me first say that this leotard is beautiful! But beware of the plastic closure! My daughter is so disappointed because the plastic hook has completely broken and we cannot find that 1/4" size hook at any of our local fabric and sewing shops, nor through online searches. She has only had the leotard since the beginning of February and has only worn it maybe four times because she is required to wear black leotards at their studio. She has the wine color leotard and she really wanted that color so she could stand out when attending conventions. We have only hand washed the leotard so that it could last longer (wishful thinking) and of course the 30 day time frame is up! I don't think using a larger size hook would work without having to take apart the other side to make the loop big enough. Please check the plastic hook immediately if you order this leotard. I would hate for you to be disappointed too!
I was so excited to buy this leo, but the fit is extremely uncomfortable at the neck. I'm 5'5'', 120lbs with an average torso length, and the medium was so tight on my neck I returned it for a large. The large was huge on the rest of my body, but still cut into my neck. The strap isn't so much as "choking me" as it is cutting downward on the base of my neck and the tops of my collarbones. It's a shame that I had to return it again because it looked gorgeous.
