I wouldn't describe these leggings at matte, they still have a sheen to them. But they are very high waisted. My daughter hates any pull in her backside when she bends, squats or sits and these are almost obnoxiously high waisted. She rolls them down the slightest bit but loves that they don't pull down in the back and they are not see through. Runs true to size according to the measurements provided for sizing.

SUPER SHINY
Unfortunately there is nothing matte about these leggings. They are super shiny and the description is misleading. Hence, a return.
