I got this dress for my solo, and overall it was a great dress. The dark blue is gorgeous on stage. I wear a small in street clothes, and I ordered a small and it fit perfectly. It looks great on stage, the material is very breathable, and it is easy to move in.
I bought this costume in blue to perform in at my end of the year recital. I am 5 feet 8 inches tall, weigh 125 pounds, and have about a 36A chest. I bought this dress in a medium. It fits perfectly and the color is beautiful! It doesn't ride up my bottom when dancing, the straps don't fall down, and it fits my chest very well. (Which is surprising because I have a rather small chest.)
The only thing that disappoints me about this costume is the quality. I performed in it once and there are quite a few strings coming out of the hems. I would say the costume was just cheaply made.
All in all it is a great coustume and would definately recomend it to anyone, especially taller girls.
We used these for a Modern dance at competitions this year. Just before the first run through with costumes, the lining that formed the "unitard" ripped on all but one of them. One of them was shipped with holes in it to start with. The material is so sheer that they had to wear shorts underneath them anyways, so we just cut the lining, and had them wear white boyshorts underneath.
If this is just for a recital piece or a one-time use, they'd be fine. But not for multiple performances.
One of my classes is wearing this for a recital piece, and it's one of my favourite costumes this season. The fabric is smooth and soft, and doesn't wrinkle at all - even after being wadded up and tossed in a dance bag. It's very flowy and moves well, and its simplicity means I'll probably have a chance to wear it again in the future.
I am wearing this for winterguard this season. It is very comfortable and easy to move in. My only problem is that you have to have a clear back or get the stick on type of bra, and the stick on ones are not good when you're moving around a lot. If you are planning to wear this, especially if you have large breasts, please realize that unless you are okay with everyone seeing your bra, you will need to get a special one or you will have to go bra less. But overall it is very pretty and comfortable and not to revealing.
