Bring on the drama in this smoldering long sleeve dress that features red lining with black shimmer lace overlay and a wide open back. Other features include a clasp closure behind the neck, thumbholes to keep the sleeves in place, a tapered skirt, high leg slit for freedom of movement, and an attached short.
I ordered this dress for a ballroom showcase to dance Bolero with a student. I absolutely love it and plan to wear again as soon as I can! The quality is great (I gave 4 stars on quality simply because lace does have the tendency to snag and the little sequins on it were kind of "meh" and i could have lived without them) My only other complaint would be the shorts style did ride up a bit in the butt...but that may have been do to one of the lifts we did... Overall, I would definitely recommend this dress for performance or competition. It's very flattering and stays in place well everywhere else, and the skirt is lovely. A winner for me!
I bought this for a ballroom competition and it worked out great. only problem was i had to return it as soon as i got it to exchange for a bigger size because it wasn't long enough for my torso. If you order this item, check your measurements carefully and consider getting one size up.
This dress is beautiful on the hanger. Following the recommended size chart, I ordered a small. The dress was too short in the stride and way too large around. Every time my dancer raised her arms, her entire side was exposed. The dress is impossible to take off without help. I have to hold the arms at the wrist in order to pull the sleeves off my dancer's arms, even after liberally applying baby powder to keep the garment from sticking to her. The lining stretches, but the lace doesn't. Since there wasn't time before the show opened, modifications to the dress were made, including elastic around the back to keep her side from being exposed. I am very, very disappointed in this particular dress and would have returned it if time hadn't been an issue.
