I am using this as a class leotard for my students. It is a great value-- fits well, has durable, adjustable straps, and carried my dancers through a year's worth of ballet and tumbling classes. The wide color selection was important to me, as well as the fit and appearance.

Great Except for Straps

My 11 year old dancer had no complaints about fit or comfort with this leo, so I purchased 3 more of them. They wash up well in cold water and although they can take longer to hang dry because they are cotton, this wasn't a problem for me. However, after just one hand wash and line dry, the adjustable strap buckle broke on two of the leos. The strap on the first leo broke as she was removing it after a rehearsal. The second leo's strap broke during rehearsal when she put her arms above her head. The buckles are made of soft plastic instead of metal and are not durable at all. I will have to permanently sew the straps into place, defeating the purpose of buying a leo with adjustable straps, and I shouldn't have to make such repairs after just one use. I like the look and fit of this leo, but I can't recommend it unless the strap buckles are changed to a more durable material.

Great fitted leo for my petite 9 y.o. Runs true to size, and is lined in the front which is an extra added bonus. I would highly recommend this as a go-to for leos!

Runs about two sizes too small.

I ordered the small child based on girth measurement and it is too tiny. I'm going to skip the intermediate and re-order in size medium for my 7 year old. This piece is for her recital costume but we hope to use it next dance season also. Shoulder straps adjust, so there is some flexibility within the size.

Don't like the middle seam.

I love the fact that this leo comes with adjustable straps so it fits better on my 7 year old. However, I dislike the middle seam that goes down the back. It isn't comfortable for her. Overall, good for the price, but probably will not buy again.

Made well and fits great

I ordered 3 of these leotards, they fit pretty true to size and seem to be made well and look good on. My daughter (7) loves them, we did buy a lace crop shirt to put over them and she seems to like them that way better.

weird fit

Love the price and color selection of this basic leo but the sizing was off for both of my girls who have different body types. One is a skinny little thing, the other more average with broad shoulders. Seems like this leo fits short and wide. The straps keep falling of their shoulders (even the broad shouldered child) with the straps as small as they go, and it seems to gap under the arms... but yet I think if I sized down the leo wouldn't be long enough in the torso for either of them (5 and 7 years old). Neither of them will wear this leo. It has also turned them off of any cami-style shoulders straps. They only want tanks or long sleeves now. It seems well made but they haven't worn it enough to say if it holds up well or not.

Should we size updown?

I measured my child's girth,it's right at 47, the end of the intermediate size, do these run true to size,smalllarge, should we size up for a little growing room?

We feel Girth is the most important measurement for leotards and costumes. If she is exactly at 47" this will not give her any growing room. Please measure her again and check the bust, waist and hip. If you need more assistance please call out customer service department at 1-800-328-7107
