Exceptional quality and remarkable style. This camisole leotard from the Mariia collection features a pretty pinch front, contrasting trim and an open back with a contrasting horizontal strap. A dance wardrobe basic with a unique twist! Leotard has a ballet cut leg line and full self fabric front lining.
Hand wash in cold water, do not bleach. Hang dry. See sizing tab for important fitting suggestions.
This is my first review ever, I was hoping to write a positive one but I guess the only good thing about this leo is the fabric. Every leotard I own is petite cause Im 5'0, but I was so disappointed once I opened the package. I ordered mine burgundy/ pink in petite, but it fits more like a large in child. Its very tight around my shoulders and around the crotch, plus it squeezes my glutes for a result not so appealing and awfully uncomfortable. What a waste :(
I'm a little shorter than 5'2, about 110 pounds with a very short torso. I usually wear a small in leotards. Reading the reviews I found that the straps were a little tight and I should order a size up. Since I usually have a problem with straps being too long I went ahead and ordered a small in the pink/navy.
It came in today and I was so excited and wore it to class. My biggest concern was the pink being see through, but after putting it on, it wasn't as big of an issue as I feared. The full front lining is rather thick, though I guess there is a tiny hint of my chest that might have peaked through, but it wasn't worse than any other leotard. A darker color might help, if you're extremely worried.
The leotard stayed in place very well. It did slip a tiny bit when doing port de bra back, but nowhere near any kind of danger zone.
The cut is extremely flattering and I adore it and would definitely recommend this leotard and the color choice!
Like mentioned in some of the other reviews, the torso is a tiny bit short, which is why it makes the shoulder straps feel a little tight. I am 5'5 and about 112 lbs and I got both the medium and the large. The straps on the large were more comfortable, but the body of the leotard was too loose so I decided to keep the medium. I have worn and washed the leo several times and really love it. I think the straps might even feel a bit less tight with time, and it's not something that bothers me in class. I was worried that because the torso was a bit short it might cause the bottom to ride up, but it has stayed in place with no problems with splits, grand battement etc. The material is thick, durable, and a great color (I got the maroon/light pink which makes you look really tan!), and the pinched front and open back design is great. This is my new favorite leotard because I think the design and color is great. If you are on the fence about the sizing description from the reviews, I think it is worth it to order it and try it on for yourself.
I generally fit mediums the best but this definitely ran a little small... especially in the straps. I had to exchange the medium for a large because they squeezed my shoulders. I didn't notice much of a fit difference in the body between the two sizes but the straps were a little better. Yet they still are on the tighter side. Maybe after wearing it a bit then they will stretch a little. The color is beautiful (I got the lilac/purple) and the material is sturdy.
Was excited to receive this leotard - arrived in three days!!! Beautiful, thick Nylon material, purple straps much brighter than pictured. However, was disappointed by the fit; it very short through the torso, and rather wide. I fit a petite size according to the chart, but went a size up after reading other reviews of other styles and ordered a Small. The small was way too short through the torso, and was wider than the Ekaterina style, which works perfectly for me. I am a preprofessional ballerina built long and lean, with an averaged - sized torso that errs on the small side. All of the other Mariia leotards that I have ordered (the Ekaterina and Irina) fit just like they do in the picture. This Leotard is for you if you have a really short torso and an apple figure (there was plenty of fabric in the rear, a little too much for my figure). So I sent it back as defective, as it was several inches shorter than the other Mariia leotards that I own. It has been 3 weeks, and I haven't gotten my money back. Would not recommend this site or this product, unless you know for a fact that this style/size will work for you and don't want to make a return!
Pretty nice basic Leo. I purchased it in black. I would say they run just a tad small, but find it stretches and it's good. The quality of theses Leo's are good and the double lining in front is flattering. I like this brand...and although they have lots do crazy color combos I'm glad they offer everything in black too.
