Reading the reviews, I ordered up 1 full size and wide for my son's shoes. He wears 8.5 men's for street shoes. I ordered 9.5 - wide in these. They were still very small. I'm going to try ordering up another size. These are supposed to be in men's sizing, not women's so I didn't think we'd need to size up quite so much. Otherwise, they seem good for a budget beginner shoe.

Invoice stated 8.5 and/or 4. So it was a Russian 4 which is supposed to be 8.5 American. It is not. More like a 7-7.5 American. Could not even get it on my foot.
Had to return it.
Too bad it looked well made. It was lined, had a slightly spongy insole, & wide flat leather bottom. I may re-order, but balk @ having to pay so much postage back & forth.
Discount Dance should pay for returns such as this where the sizing is so wrong!

I am confused on the size. I am a guy and I wear a size 8.5 in US mens sizes. What size should I get??
The suggested fitting for this shoe is to order the same to a half size larger than your street shoe size. Since you wear 8.5, the recommendation would be to order an 8.5 or 9. This is just a recommendation since sizing is not guaranteed. - DDS Customer Service (11/14/2013)
