The "Elemental" is a split sole leather ballet slipper that has been specifically designed to supersede the full sole ballet slipper. The shoe contains a patent applied support and strengthening substructure built into the shoe. The structure is designed to impose a level of controlled resistance to the muscles of the lower leg each time the foot points and flexes, building strength and stability over time. The structure is shaped to envelop the heel and arch which offers the dancer an unrivaled level of protection. It supports the foot and arch and allows the intrinsic muscles to recover when at rest. All this is achieved while maintaining the optimum aesthetics for a longer leg and a clean line.

This is my granddaughter's 3rd year in ballet and she loves these ballet shoes. They're supportive without getting in the way. She feels that they've helped her with her ballet exercise. I would highly recommend these to anyone who wants an excellent ballet shoe.
Love these ballet shoes! Great fit and super soft leather once broken in :) love that you didn't have to sew in elastic! Just got our second pair. My daughter is 8 yrs old and says they are very comfortable.
My 7 year old absolutely adores these shoes. She never complains about her feet hurting her after ballet class. They look beautiful on her feet and seem to be holding up well. We've had them about 6 weeks and she wears them about 8-10 hours per week. They clean up very nicely with just a soft damp cloth. We are happy, happy, happy.
These shoes fit my daughters' feet beautifully! One daughter wears a true narrow width. The shoes did not wrinkle and crease when she pointed her toes. My other daughter wears a medium width and fit her perfectly also. Love the arch the shoe creates! Thank you MDM!
My daughter is only 4 but had very flat feet and needs some arch support. Would these be appropriate, or overkill for a 4 year old? And if the would be good for her, then how do the run (i.e. large, small, narrow, wide) She has average width feet and wear a street size 9.5-10 toddler shoe.
This shoe runs as small as a toddler 7.0 through adult. We advise customers to purchase up a half size from their average street shoe size, and true to width. Having the foam insole will certainly be a plus, however allow time for it to form to the foot. - DDS Customer Service (09/10/2015)
Are these ballet shoes slippery on a hardwood floor when dancing?

I just bought these here for my 7 year old daughter.
We've not been made aware that these shoes are slippery. However, the finish on the floor will be the determining factor. I suggest applying resin to the shoes if you find your daughter is slipping. - DDS Customer Service (12/02/2014)
