I just wanted to say that these tap shoes run SMALL. I wore this shoe about 6 years ago, loaned them to a friend, and she lost one. I stopped dancing but now that I want to get back into tap, I wanted to buy the same shoes. I ordered a 10M (what my last shoes were) and they were too small. Ordered an 11W but still too small. I am going to try either 11.5 or 12, but I'm not happy about paying all these shipping charges to get a pair of tap shoes that FIT.
The Leo slip on tap shoes are the required shoe for our competition team. We've used these for the past 3 years. The shoes look amazing on vs. an oxford style. Our team does toe stands and complex footwork with them with little issues. I can't speak on the tone or sound as the dancers are mostly on marley flooring. Which I think is horrible for tap. They are durable but due to the elastic slip on - dancers can stretch this out and it can look horrible depending on how hard they are on the shoe & how old the shoe is. Size seems pretty true maybe go up a 1/2 size. Daughter is 12 with a street shoe 7.5. She was in a 7M (2 years) in this shoe and we're just ordering an 8W.
