We use these shoes at our studio exclusively. They are well- made shoes, and the black ones look sharp. They run generally the same as street shoe, but we order up maybe a half size to allow room for growth. Be aware that the opening is VERY tight when the shoes are new, but once you pull them on, they fit nicely. The openings do loosen up with wear.
My daughter wears a size 1 ballet and tap and street shoe -- so we ordered the size 1 in these jazz shoes and I immediately knew as soon as they came out of the box that they were way too small. They were at least 3/4 inch shorter in fit than all her other size 1s. For giggles, we tried to slip them on and her heel was nowhere near going in. I'm sure it's a lovely shoe, but beware of tight sizes... returned. (Le sigh.)

Most shoes on this site have info as to what size to get based on street shoe size. This shoe doesn't have this. I know it's a good shoe because my older daughter has this one, and I also know it runs small, but I am not sure what to order in toddler sizes.
This shoe runs true to street shoe size. - DDS Customer Service (06/16/2014)
I would go up for growing room. Add cotton in the toe. - Dixie (11/11/2014)
