I wasn't too optimistic that the arch support would help me lift up a bit in my arch and prevent my feet from going into a sickle, but it really did help. My feet have a lower bottom arch and break higher up, and the arch support is really helping me lift all the way up in my foot and arch. Personally I've felt no discomfort and I barely can ever feel them.

First, manage your expectations—this rubber loop is never going to replace your sneakers and orthotic inserts. I dance barefoot frequently and wear the Arch barefoot rather than over a shoe. I find the Arch is supportive and, while it’s not going to correct a problem like pronation, I do think it increases your awareness of your Arch and foot placement. I also feel that it is increasing my foot strength. My feet cramped a bit the first few times I wore them. Sizing appears to be based on dance shoes rather than street size—I typically wear a 9 in street shoes and 9.5 in dance shoes. I ordered a large in the Arch and it fits fine.

Ordered size small based on chart, was too narrow for my wide feet and high arches.
Otherwise, they felt good and really did contour to my super high arches. Unfortunately, when I tried them on over pointe shoes, one snapped in half. Glad I wasn't center at the time! If they would hold up, I think I would really enjoy them. They hug the shank of my pointe shoes up into my arch, reducing my feet from popping out of the throat of the shoe.

These are advertised as arch support, but they do very little to really support. It could be used as compression, but to really support your arch, you need some type of orthotic insert or, ideally, to train yourself to stand correctly without pronation. They also feel sort of like this rubber wristbands just around your foot, which doesn't help.

OC dancer 09/13/2017 Yorba Linda-ca How should these fit? Size down for narrow? Or not?
Should these fit so snugly that the band stretches around the foot? Or is just having the band fit without any real stretch okay for it to work. I am wondering whether to size down to Small? --go with the length 8 that would put me in Medium?. Should they be just barely snugmore toward tight? I appreciate your advice.
I wear Size 8 Narrowalways requiring Narrow, A width, even Extra Narrow sometimes when that is available.
Hello, thank you for your question. These should hug the foot snugly so as to provide support. - DDS Customer Service (10/06/2017)
