Who knew your legs had such incredible shape? Meticulous manufacturing meets advanced textile technology. This tight is woven with 3D stretch for the utmost freedom of movement, using only genuine microfiber (70 filaments per thread) because only the real thing produces a truly soft, luxurious tight. Crotch gusset. Self-knit waist band.
I read a review that said they were shinier than expected - I don't think this at all. They are very comfortable, even for a bigger dancer like myself. The waste isn't too tight at all. Only had them about 2 weeks before I got a hole, but, that happens.
I needed to up my collection of tights, so I was looking for cheap but comfortable ones. These are extremely soft and stretchy. They don't pinch, twist and the waistband is great. They do tend to rip though. After the first couple times I danced in them, I had small holes in the crotch. However, they were really small and not in a place that showed. I only wear these for rehearsals, so I definitely recommend them. They have held up for all my classes and rehearsals - just maybe not the best performance tights. Great for modern because of the footless and comfortable ankle band.
All tights should have a waist-band like these. It doesn't create that unflattering "Blump" like thinner waist-bands make. What's sad is that after my first wearing, the area around the gusset was separated and holey, not a good sign. I also don't care for the slight sheen these have, not as flattering as a more matte black.
I love how the ankle parts are like the waist band - stretchy, strong, and don't dig into your skin. The Gaynor Minden tag is itchy, so you might want to cut the seams holding the tag and sew up the remaining small hole. Don't worry - that only takes five minutes. These are worth it; they are great tights.
