The leotard is very cute in the photo, however it is not practical. The straps on the right side are way too big. The leo fits perfectly, except the multiple straps. Luckily, I can sew, so I will fix it. If you don't sew, choose another leo.
The color is stunning, I love the way the purples and pinks bled together. We have not worn the garment yet, our show is not until 6/22/13. I did however have my daughter try it on and from the chest downward it fit perfect. My daughter is 8 1/2 years old and most of her clothes are size 10. I measured her with the tape measure (chest 25, waist 25, hips 30 and Girth 51"), to assure I ordered the right size.
The right shoulder binding straps (three smaller straps) are not staying up. I will definitely have to take it up so the straps won't fall down during her performance.
Ordering the product was fast and simple. The package arrived on my door step the next day. I would order from this company in the future if need be, I would also recommend ordering from DDS to my friends.
This was my first time ordering with Discount Dance. We ordered the purple/pink combination. Unfortunately, the size I ordered was out of stock in that color and I didn't know it when I placed my order online. Their customer service called me the next day to let me know it was out of stock and the agent was so helpful and friendly. The agent found the color we wanted in an alternate size at a different warehouse and adjusted the order. The leotard arrived 2 days later, by standard shipping. My daughter absolutely loves the leotard and the color is so much prettier in person. The quality is great, too! I was so impressed by the product and customer service, I will definitely be using Discount Dance again.

What size leotard would you suggest to purchase for my 7 year old. She is about 47 inches tall and about 51 lbs. This is my first time purchasing clothes online.
Unfortunately leotard are not sized by height and weight, like tights. What I would reccommend doing is getting your daughter's girth measurement. This measurement can be taken with a tape measurer. You would start with the end of the tape at the top of one of her shoulders, bring the tape down the front of her body, between her legs and up her backside, up to the same place on the same shoulder that you started at. You can think of it as a lateral circle of her torso. This measurement is one of our best indicators for size and for making sure the leotard is proportionate for her body. You would then compare that measurement to the girth measurement listed on the leotard. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee sizing, but that will give you the most accurate point of reference. - DDS Customer Service (04/12/2013)
