Adult Entrada Pro Pointe Shoes

I am in love with these shoes. I dance at a college company and wear these for about 4-6 hours per week in technique class. I have been dancing on them for almost 3 months, and they have not broken down other than to mold to my foot, and a little loosening at the top of the box. SO EASY to break in, they were broken in within 15-20 minutes, with a few roll-throughs and rises. As someone with a difficult to fit foot and chronic trouble getting over pointe (thanks, low arches) these not only get me perfectly up on my box but give a lovely arch to my foot! Incredible. As mentioned in other reviews, the platform does look small on these shoes, but I have not noticed any significant difference wearing these vs. other brands with larger platforms. If anything, the smaller ones allow me to balance better, and make the shoes less difficult to work through. That said, I would not classify these as 'beginner' shoes because of the platform. The satin is a beautiful color, and for me has held up well. One of my favorite things about these shoes is the that they are "bare bones", meaning they are light and very stripped down, without any unhelpful padding in the toe or a shag carpet on the sole that makes your feet feel like they are in a sauna. Just canvas! I love this, because these are a blank slate. You can adjust your padding as needed, and you are always able to feel the floor. They are a hard shoe, and moderately loud on the floor. I personally don't mind this, and they are not as loud as others I have heard. Finally, these are THE MOST COMFORTABLE POINTE SHOES I HAVE EVER WORN. When my pointe fitter opened by saying "I think these are actually really comfortable", I had my doubts. Pointe shoes and comfort often do not mix. However. These shoes. I can wear them an entire class period with no undue discomfort, have not had chafing, nor do my toes lose all circulation when I go up. They are very comfortable for me! When I first got them, I could wear them without padding (which is saying something, I'm a chicken and always need my ouch pouches). They have wonderful support, and I never feel that my feet are being compressed or pressured, no telescoping or crunching. When I am up on pointe, I don't feel any discomfort at all. If you have a chance to try these shoes in person, I highly recommend it! (Also, no drawstring!!)

Not good for me of course for others may be different.... If you're looking for a hard shoe this is the shoe for you my feet are way too flat for them though. They are gorgeous shoes especially the v cut. The platform is really small though. Not good for a beginner

I love my Russian Pointes! I am so impressed by the easy break in of these. In my experience all I had to do was put the shoes on and step on demi-pointe (a bit forcefully) and the box was perfectly broken. The shank melted to my arch immediately and the 3/4 gives the shoe a beautiful arch. The vamp is decently high witch I like for extra support. The box is most definitely on the tapered side which suites my feet (two first toes of the same length and the last 3 taper off), but my littlest toe does get a bit squashed sometimes. Not only is break in easy but they last a very long time. I've been wearing one pair for two month while dancing en pointe five times a week! I find these shoes don't break down slowly, but stay in the same condition for a long time and then completely break down very suddenly. Also, with proper elastic and ribbons, the heel never slips off. My negatives are the color (why are they so white) and the noise. I don't mind hearing my shoes in class, but on stage I want a newer shoe that is quiet. Also, the satin on the platform came off completely in just one performance. I suggest darning to prevent all the satin coming off.

This shoe supports me very well. I love the pre-arched design. It makes my foot feel "hugged" and supported and it looks great. I like that they don't have drawstrings, and they're gorgeous shoes. The demi pointe is really hard to break in and painful sometimes. It left bruises on my foot from trying to go up on demi pointe. Also, if you try to wet the vamp to soften it, it leaves stains. The satin on the box also comes of very quickly and easily and the box is very noisy, which doesn't bother me, but lots of dancers don't like noisy shoes, I personally prefer to hear my shoes against the floor. Also, the ink on the label inside the shoes bleeds a lot and left stains on my tights.

These were my third pair of shoes after going through two bloch pointe shoes in less than a year. These shoes were really comfortable and lasted for over a year. They were definitely worth the price I payed for them. The shank and the box were both really supportive. After i danced with them for a little over 6 months I had to jet glue them, but they lasted for about 6 months after that.

the satin on the box came off very easily, also some parts of the satin are slightly bunched up. comfort is pretty good, i like them better than my old shoes (capezio tiffany) because they provide more support and the box goes higher. the pointe shoes did not come with string nor ribbon so i will have to buy those separately later. overall, pretty good shoes. i would recommend going to a ballet store near you for 1st pair to confirm size, then continue shopping on dds. ps i got the entradas size 37 and im size 7ish street shoe.

I have high arches and a wide metatarsal area and they fit me very well. I am new to pointe and they were my first pair of pointe shoes and I feel safe and supported on them and the style and color is beautiful.

I already have no order my no proflex non flexible hard shanks from my local dance store, so it would be very useful if dds could have hard shanks in stock. So, my question is will you ever have any other shanks available for purchase?

The appeal of Russian Pointe is the wide variety of shanks and vamps. Will you make other vamps and shanks available for order rather than keeping them in stock? That seems to be how you handle Gaynor Minden shoes. My daughter needs a hard shank and high vamp.
