Classic yet contemporary, the Encore by Russian Pointe combines a streamlined low crown with a moderately tapered box and medium platform to suit dancers with tapered toes or one or two even-length toes, and shallow to slightly full feet. The tapered shape from metatarsal area to heel accommodates the "diamond" foot shape. Pre-arched construction mimics the shape of the foot en pointe, decreases pressure on the front of the foot for high arches, makes it easier to reach full pointe for low arches, and minimizes break-in. Next-generation shanks provide flexibility and durability. Handcrafted in Russia in the grand tradition of pointe shoemaking. FREE Ribbons and Elastic Included with each pair! This item ships for FREE!
Out of all the styles of Russian Pointe shoes I've tried, these are my favorite. The shank and box break in evenly and they're a little less box and wide than other shoes I have tried. They made my feet look pretty without being to soft at the beginning, but I ended up breaking them in too fast as my feet got stronger. They twisted a tiny bit at the heel, but well placed elastic fixed that. I think these are really good for performance and made my feet look good on stage. I wore these shoes for Swan Lake and I loved how my feet looked in the pictures. (Which is unusual.) These run about a half size small like most other Russian Pointe shoes do, but if you know that, then size should be accurate! Overall, I really enjoyed these and if I was going back to Russians these would be the pair I would buy again!

SIZING GUIDE WAY OFF
Experimental shoes. Sizing guide is not accurate. I wear a 7 and ordered 37 per guide. Shoe was only 3/4s the size of my foot. I exchanged for a size 40. Much better fit. Box seems fairly roomy, so widths could be down-sized one. I ordered XXX, but I think XX would have sufficed. Easy to go en pointe and it doesn't pull back. Drawstrings are worthless; very inferior elastic. As are the "free" elastics that come with the shoe. Didn't really hold the heel in place. I will try again -- downsizing the width and avoiding the "free" accessories preferring to use material I know is trustworthy.

Question about Russian Pointe Encore
Is this the U-cut shoe with the drawstring or the V-cut without drawstring?
This is the ED style number. This shoe has the U shape cut and does have a drawstring. - DDS Customer Service (06/11/2015)
