I just received my shoes, so I'm reviewing this for size and fit. I haven't actually danced in them yet so can't speak to that or to durability. I know it's so hard to order a shoe online, especially if it is a "new to you" shoe. So, having said that, I'm an ordinary size 8. I don't usually have any problems fitting into shoes when shopping. I ordered an 8, and it fits perfectly. As a side note....they came extremely fast. I was surprised!!!

I have used this shoe for about 13 years. I am a ballet teacher and I was getting plantar fasciitis for being on my feet so long with so little support. This is the first time, that I found it STIFF, and it seems to run a tiny bit smaller than the last pair. This time I am disappointed for the very first time. I am going to have to wash them a few times before I wear them I think? HOWEVER, My review is for what I would have said, regarding this shoe UP UNTIL THIS TIME.

Leaves scuff marks on floor

The white shoes are leaving white marks all over the floor. I've ordered this exact pair before and did not have this issue. But this time it's a big problem. It's causing me to change the way I dance so that I don't leave the floor covered in scuff marks.

I looked for quite a few months for a quality stylish dance sneaker and this capizio was just perfect. The sizing, which had been my biggest problem, was not an issue here. They hit the mark first time out! The customer service was stellar. This will be my go to for all my ballroom needs :) Give then a try if you haven’t! You’ll be well taken care of!!

I received the dance sneakers and discovered that they run big. So I recommend at least half size smaller or full size smaller than your street shoe. Other then being too big I like them a lot for teaching knowing they won't put scuff marks on the floor.

I ordered these shoes for my college dance team performances as we have to wear black sneakers. I typically wear a 9 or a 9.5 street shoe, and most reviews said to order up so I ordered a 10.5. They were huge! I returned them and ordered a 9.5. Still big and not much difference from the 10.5! I wore them once t practice and landed funny on my foot, because of the very tall heel, my ankle rolled and I tore a ligament! So not only can I not return the as I wore them to practice, but I have a hurt ankle. Ordered some new shoes for the rest of the season. Hope they will work out better than these!

I love these shoes, they are supportive, lightweight and flexible. I especially like the split-sole design.
I wear them only once a week for my dance class, they only last 2 years or so before fall apart! For my next pair, I am wondering should I try a different brand.

I have purchased these shoes 2 years in a row because I enjoyed the fit, comfort, and low profile (I've rolled my ankle a few times in higher sneakers.) But they only last me through a year of teaching. I teach 3 ballet classes in a row on M,W,F and use them sometimes for other classes. Each year, the canvas in the demi-pointe begins to rip away from the plastic ball of the foot leaving the side of metatarsals bare. With the shoe coming open at the seams, the ball of my foot slightly rests on the plastic part and it becomes quite uncomfortable to wear. I'm surprised they only last me a year. Perhaps I need a wider size, but I'm disappointed that the shoes have come apart in the exact same place and way for two years in a row.

I am not a professional dancer but I purchased a pair similar to these about 8 years ago to wear for part-time catering/serving work. They were so comfortable and allowed me to move gracefully through the crowds, carrying huge trays of food effortlessly. Eventually, they wore out but I never forgot how great they were. This year, I started working part-time in catering again and immediately decided to purchase another pair. I was worried that they would not fit. I'm usually between a 10.5 and 11, so I ordered an 11.5 and they fit perfectly. Yey!

I love these shoes, they fit great. I use them for my line dance and zumba teaching classes. They are great for all types of movement of dance, a great shoe all around. I would recommend for a great fit and comfort from toe to heel.

I loved these shoes as soon as I put them on! They feel light on your feet since they are canvas, and the inside cushioning makes you feel like you are walking on air! They do run a little small, so order a half-size up. Wonderful product!

Tragic Quality Decline

Capezio canvas dance sneakers used to be my every day shoe. My last 2 pairs each lasted me almost 4 years, which means, doing the math, I have worn these same style of shoes for 8 years. And I've worn them doing pretty much everything - to work, on the town, hiking, scrambling on rocks, and yes, even dancing. I'm reviewing my 3rd pair, which I bought approximately 3/4 of a year ago. The sole has already started detaching from the arch of the right shoe in what appears to be a bad glue job.
I'm honestly shocked after 9 years of loving this shoe and raving about its durability that my newest pair is falling apart in less than a year of light use (no hikes with this pair). Oh, and how did numbers 1 and 2 die? I literally wore holes through the fabric at the toe and eventually around the corners of the arch.

Comfortable but not long lasting

I do folk dancing 2x per week and these shoes have lasted me less than 1 year. The canvas top comes apart from the plastic soles even though the rest of the shoe is in great shape. The canvas cannot be fixed and so I need to throw away the shoe.

I have owned these shoes for a year and a half and I wear them everyday during the summer for the theatre cap that I attend. We do all types of dance and these shoes accommodate them all extremely well. They allow me to dance so much more easily than other shoes. I use them for broadway, ballet, modern, and even all of my shows! I love these shoes and I have no doubt that you will too.

Ordered on Tuesday, arrived on Thursday, lightning fast shipment. Thanks! Ordered half a size up, fit nicely though still some toe space left, which I don't mind, as my arthritis toes love the extra space! Without my toe problem, I would recommend true size. They are comfortable, feel very light. I have narrow feet and the laces adjust them well. Will update after a couple of hours of dancing....intend to use them for zumba classes as well as other dance classes. I'm very happy with them so far!

Great shoe

Bought this for my 15-year- old. She LOVES them. Her dance teacher also said that she was dancing better because of them. They are still new so I can't attest to their longevity, but they are a comfortable shoe worth trying. She wears size 9 and ordered size 9 and they fit her perfectly.

I've had a pair of these for a few years, and I love, love, love them. They're lightweight and flexible, but still supportive and durable. The toe box is still sturdy after all this time! You really can't beat them for the price! I coached my college dance team, and I had everyone buy a pair of these. They really are great.
