These are great for long legged dancers! I think they are a little snugger in the hips than we had planned, but they don't look bad, I would just recommend wearing tights under them to keep the crotch seam from riding up. The back is high enough that there's no concern for anything inappropriate showing and the front has a nice v-cut. The price is really great for a basic pair of jazz pants! They do have some shine to them, so don't expect a cotton blend pair of pants.
Some people complain about these pants being too long, but they were a perfect fit for my daughter and she loves them. She is 5'4" with long legs and about 95 lbs (normally wears a size 0 or 0 long in jeans); we ordered an Adult Small and it was great!
These Jazz Pants are really comfortable, according to my Granddaughter. I went by the size chart, measured her and selected the size according to her measurements and the fit was perfect. She loves the material and the price was great. Will be looking for more items in the future.
In my eyes these are the best thing to happen to me related to pants! I saw what others had said about the length and knew they were for me... the inseam is like a dream come true! They are super light weight and comfy and I will definitely order more pairs, seeing how it is impossible to get pants for my long legs and the price is great. They seem to be black, not greenish at all, if they were it still wouldn't bother me. They may not be the same black as every other but it doesn't matter for individual use. Highly recommend for tall people! I got a M and I am very skinny and 5'8.5
These pants fit my dancers great and flatter their body types; however, they are extremely long. Almost all of my dancers had to have several inches cut off, and they also have a strange green tint to them in certain lights.
the long length was not a problem... we just cut them to fit my daughter's height, but the coloring was horrible. We ended up not being able to wear them. I will not buy any more pants from Discount Dance Supply. They were listed as being black, but in reality, they were a greenish black color. Next to the other majorettes, my daughter looked like she was wearing the wrong pants.by the time I realized this, it was too late to send them back. After reading other reviews on these pants, I have discovered that I'm not the only one with this complaint. Not worth the discount!!!! I ended up paying for something that was unable to be used.
I currently wear these jazz pants with my show choir. I think they are wonderful. I am 5'4 & they have a wonderful fit. The "v" in the front is very slimming. I would recommend these to all performers (:
I loved these pants! They fit great and looked great, but, even after over 10 washes, the ink from the pants kept rubbing off on my legs, my other clothes, everything! I finally had to throw them away.
I love these. I'm 5'5" and 120 lbs and a large fits me well. They are a bit long, so they may not be the best idea for costumes if you're not willing to hem them. Although, I've hemmed a couple pairs for the younger girls in class and it's not that hard. They're comfortable enough to wear anywhere, and they are really stretchy and soft. They're also flattering and very durable! I've had them for about a year and I wear them at least once a week and I wash them after every wear and they're still as good as new. The sizing is a little off, but it's worth it just to figure it out and buy these 'cause they're a great bargain. In general, I'd say buy one size up.
I totally love these. If you are tall and have a hard time finding dance pants that are long enough, then these are the pants for you! But they do run small, I would order a size larger. I am now going to order my 2nd pair so I have a back up.

I think the sizing information for pants should always include inseam for every size- I always end up either not buying any pants in fear of having to return them because they are too short, or actually having to return them and get the same pants of a different size, only after sale is over and spending extra $ for a return shipment.
My daughter is 5' 6 1/2"/117lbs, and based on her waist she should be fine with Adult Medium but I'm afraid the pants are too short- like the other customer's daughter, she also has long legs. Please help with more information on inseam for EVERY size. Thanks
My daughter is 5'6 and 120 and I bought her a small, however her legs aren't super long, she's got more of a torso. I am 5'5 and 115 and also ordered a small, but have longer legs and shorter torso than my daughter. The small fit both of us in the length as well as hips, however the medium would have fit us both just fine in the body and would definitely given extra length (I had ordered smalls, mediums, and larges, for our dance company so I got to see all the different sizes). I feel these fit fairly snug so no need to worry about being baggy or sagging even if you size up to a medium. Also, there should be no shrinking as they're a nylon spandex blend, with no cotton. - Akdancer77 (01/16/2016)
my daughter is 11 yrs old, but very tall, 5'8".
I think i will need an adult small size, but the length has to be at least 31" inseam after washing.
The inseam for the adult small is approximately 30.5 inches. - DDS Customer Service (11/14/2013)
One of my dancers is 5'9 and she's very thin, the medium fit great all over. I feel these fit fairly snug so no need to worry about being baggy or sagging even if you size up to a medium. Also, there should be no shrinking as they're a nylon spandex blend, with no cotton. - Akdancer77 (01/16/2016)
