I've ordered this once in the past - same brand and size. The first time I ordered, the fit was perfect! This time, it's still comfortable but seems like it's constructed for someone taller (I have not changed height or weight). I'm not sure if this Theatricals updated the original size... but it's inconvenient - I'm not sure I'd buy it again.
The size was nice for a tall person. The hips are big for me so it rides up and looks a bit French cut, but I wear a skirt for ballet so it does not really matter. The armholes are a bit too deep. The only trouble is I have had leotards in regular use for a decade that are in better shape than this after 1 year or less. The fabric pulls and pills. I have never seen a leotard do that before and I started dancing in the 60s. I have had lengthy time off and come back and the old leotards that still fit held up better.
I am a plus size woman, 5'7 and 260 lbs and the 2x fit me perfectly! I love how comfortable it is - so much that you forget that you're wearing it, it fits the body comfortably (does not fit like spanks would fit- not meant to 'suck you in') and it doesn't cut at your body such as in the legs or by the arms. I absolutely love it and will be ordering more in different colors to wear during my dance classes. Definitely recommend!
I'm a fat ballerina, just look at my username. I ordered this leo with the nagging feeling that, like most dance wear, it wouldn't fit. It would be small or tight or the seams would dig. It was none of that! I ordered a 2x and it was actually a little loose. I wear a street clothes size 22, so a 2x is usually a close fit. This leo is comfortable and moves with my body. The neck line comes up higher than in the photo, but that is my only complaint. I really like this product and would order it again/recommend it to another plus size dancer.
