Purchased because the description clearly notes: "Capezio classic tank leotard has a ballet cut leg line." It's a good leotard, but it isn't a ballet cut leg line--it's a jazz cut (even says so on the leotard's packaging and label). I wish Discount Dance sold the 90% cotton/10% spandex leo with ballet cut leg. Discount Dance, please fix the description on this item, as it is inaccurate.
If you're a student who loves really high cut leg lines to make your legs look longer (like me), then this is for you. If you have a long torso though, I would recommend ordering one size up, especially if you are on the fence between two sizes. I'm 5' 8'' and 109 lb. with a short torso and the smallest size works great for me. The neckline is very flattering and the design is very simple, but pretty. The fabric when it was first shipped was a little less durable than I usually like, but after washing it, it will become softer and more moveable. If you're not comfortable with a high cut leg-line don't order this leotard!
The leotard is not stretchy enough for my taste. The torso is really short, and the cut of the legs is awkward. I'm not even that tall, I'm only 5'5. It bunches and feels strange. It runs small. In other words, not my favorite. The comfort isn't horrible...you'll get used to it after wearing it around for a bit. It's fine for now.
I'm 5'9" 145lbs, size 8/10 and I ordered this in the XL because I've found that most leotards are sized for REALLY tiny people so you should always size up and because I'm taller I hoped the larger size would also give me enough room in the length. I did not. The quality of the material is good, though, so for shorter dancers it will probably be a fine leo. But even if you are shorter than I am, still definitely size up! There's a Tall version available now, so I'm going to try that next.
