I got this bag for my toddler, who decided blocks belonged in it instead and her shoes belong on her feet! Anyway this bag holds a lot for the small set. Their items are smaller, of course. It won't hold after-dance clothes in addition to what's worn during class, but how many little ones will be dressing to go about their day's errands after sweating up a storm? (Not like this in enjoyable for us in the older set, but such is life.) This bag has gone though a lot of abuse, and lasted about a year before I finally decided it needed to go. In the hands of a child older than 2.5-3.5, it would last longer, probably throughout most of the early dance years.
I bought this for my now 6 year old daughter when she was 5. When I fist bought it for her it was a little big but now that shes turned 6 and grown a little she loved carrying it. At first it was a little heavy for her (she was a small 5 year old) but now she does well with it. It holds her ballet shoes, her tap shoes, her acro booties, jazz shoes, her bag of bobby pins and bandaids, and her water bottle. Right now thats all she needs but im sure when she gets older and starts dancing on pointe and needing more room we will have to move up to a larger type of bag. Overall cute for a 6-9 year old.
I would like to add a monogram to it and need to know if that is possible. Thanks
Yes, it is possible to have this embroidered. It is a black quilted fabric with a ribbon trim at the top. There is also embroidery on the front center already so it can certainly be monogrammed. - DDS Customer Service (06/08/2015)
