Capezio always discontinues my favorite pointe shoes.
I wore Infinita's, Plies, and my favorite, Glisse Pro ES. Recently, I have been wearing Aria's before trying something with a stronger shank and box.
I thought these pointe shoes would be amazing. They are comfortable to stand in for long periods of time, and have a nice pre arched shank.
Now that I have worn them for 7 classes, the box is broken and squishy (on account of my bevel), the vamp has widened causing my foot to slide, and the shank doesn't hug my arch anymore.
I'm going to try the lighter shank to see that will help.
If not I'm back to wearing Aria's and buying Glisse Pro's wherever I can find them.
Great looking and fitting pointe shoe. I ordered these for my 13 yr old who has been on pointe for 2 years now. Note: order at least 1 full size up from street size. My daughter wears 36, W2, V2, FS in Russian Pointe. These were ordered in a size 6 in style 1134, and her toes were curled up in the shoe. So, at least 1 size up is my recommendation. I just ordered a size 7, which we are waiting for. I write a review on those when we receive them. But I ordered the style #1133 instead which is flexi-medium shank. but I will not give up until I get the correct size. My daughter has the disappearing heel, and I like how the heel looks on her in these pointe shoes. So lets see.
Will this be available in the N width any time soon?
The narrow width on this shoe is made, however DDS does not carry it at this time. Since this is a newer item, there is a chance that this might become available in the near future. However the availability on this item is determined directly by the vendor. Check back periodically for any updates. - DDS Customer Service (08/24/2015)
