My son wanted a black ballet shirt and this one worked really well for him. He is normally somewhere between a medium and a large and the large of this model fit really well. It's holding up really well. The boys roughhouse between classes and he spills food on it while eating in the car (like any dance kid!), but it's still in great shape! Ordering another!

GREAT LOOKING SHIRT
We have bought these shirts since my boys started in dance 4 years ago. I have 3 sons and we will still be able to pass these shirts along to a friend's son. After a few washes, the length on the two smallest two sizes shortens, so if you have long waisted boys you will want to go up a size.

GREAT, COMFORTABLE SHIRTS
Both of my dancer sons loved these shirts when I bought two last month, so I am back to purchase more. They are soft and stretchy, yet form fitting enough to tuck into tights without bunching. I haven't noticed the problem with the tight neck mentioned by the other reviewer. Since I only have one for each dancer, they have been washed several times each week, and are holding up well. Probably not a good idea to dry them in the dryer though, in order to keep them in shape. The shirts appear to run true to the sizing on the chart.

SIZE CHART NEEDS HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE
I liked the shirt, and think that it would be great if the head opening stretched. It was kind of a tight fit coming over my son's head when we bought it. Then after the first washing, it was too small. (Do not put it in the dryer at all.)
Other than that, the shirt fits fine, and I think it will work fine once I take the shears to the collar. Fortunately the class he is in is relaxed, and I don't think we will get in trouble for the alteration.
