I'm glad I was in a rush to pick up another pair of tights for my daughter, and didn't have time to order. I was planning to buy her this backpack, but buy being in that rush, I had the chance to see it in the store. I was stunned by how tiny it is. I think we could fit one pair of street shoes and a shirt in it at one time. She's 4, so it's not like she needs tons and tons of space, like I do for my gear, so when I say this bag is too small, we're talking too small for a 4-year-old's dance stuff.
I found this link to the Capezio site with the dimensions (and a higher price tag that Discount Dance), and the measurements are 7.25" W x 9" H x 4.75"
9" high. That's the largest dimension. That's a dollar bill and a half tall, and barely more than a dollar bill side, and less than a dollar bill in depth. On the outside.
It's a cute backpack, and seems well made, but I simply can't recommend a bag that is far too small to hold the ballet stuff of a 4-year-old, never mind it being storage for her street gear while in class.
Bought the pointe shoes back pack as a gift for my 4 year old niece. It arrived and was much smaller than it appeared online. Can only accommodate her tap shoes and slippers at one time, nothing else. Other than that, it looks great and is very unique.
