DanceswithCats08/12/2014ARGH -- THEY RUINED THE PERFECT SHOE!
I've been dancing on pointe for 9 years, and this was my favorite shoe EVER until they went and changed it! I used this same style shoe for four years, and never have I found a pair of pointe shoes so comfortable as these -- no blisters, no chafing anywhere. I loved that the shank was flexible enough to roll up in easily and to quickly mold to my arch, but strong enough for me to feel supported while en pointe. I have a strong foot with a well developed arch, and I dance en pointe at least four hours per week -- sometimes up to four hours per day -- so it is hard for me to find a shoe that bends in all the right spots without breaking down too quickly or rolling over. These were easy to dance in from day one, but also lasted for months. The split sole also made my arch look lovely. Then they went and changed all that! They moved the split sole and all the stitching and the narrow (bendy) part of the shank way up close to the heel, and there is just no way anymore to bend it down where your arch actually is. I tried everything. I tried bending it with my hands and with all sorts of mechanical devices, and I even tried cutting away some of the sole and stitching and shank, but I still couldn't get it to bend in the right place so that I could get fully onto the box. Several other students and one of my teachers who had formerly used this shoe said they had the same problem -- they just couldn't roll up anymore and had to switch brands. Eventually, I ended up breaking the shank at that spot where it wanted to bend anyway. What a disappointment! Goodbye, favorite shoes. Now I am back to wearing shoes that are flexible enough to bend in the right spot but are uncomfortable and break down quickly. Sigh! Why do manufacturers always have to mess with a good thing?!

Polly05/26/2014VERY COMFY EASY TO BREAK IN
I have been wearing this shoes for about a year, they are far more durable than any split sole, but maybe not as much as a full sole pointe shoes, Easy to break in.
I ussually kill the box before the rest of the shoe is perfectly broken in, but it is not the case with this shoes, I am able to have a broken in comfortable to dance, it gives good support to my arches wish are very pronounce.
Overall I liked them very much and will continue to use them.

These shoes were very comfortable! However, they were not flattering to my foot at all, and broke down too quickly.
