I got this dress for my birthday and I absolutely luv it. I got it in mint green and have gotten numerous compliments about it. The only thing I do not like is that the arm string broke and I had to cut it off. But, I would definitely recommend this dress.
My dance studio bought this for their performance of The Nutcracker. The loop on the chiffon drape broke as soon as I tried to slip it through my arm. It was very small! Other than that, the costume fit perfectly.
We had to order this dress in white for Snowflakes in the Nutcracker. We wore the loops on our arms and fingers and the dress looked beautiful while we were dancing. It is very comfortable and simple, yet elegant, especially when the dancer is moving. We added white sequins to add a little bit of sparkle, but otherwise we did nothing at all, and it was perfect for our needs.
This is a lovely dress. My class got it in lilac for the reed flutes dance in the nutcracker. The lilac is very pretty! I like the many options,it is really a very versatile dress! We'll probably get sequins or other decoration put on them for added sparkle because they're kind of plain otherwise. My only complaint is the top is thin even though there is shelf lining (I'm getting a nude leo to put underneath).
I'm a big fan of this dress. I agree with the other reviews -- they do run small. The lilac is lovely, and I think they look great on stage. We aren't using the finger or the arm loop thingy, just attaching it to one of the buttons on the leotard. I do like the asymmetrical aspect.
